This case doesn't include access to the docking connecter. They only way to dock your i-pod is to remove it from the case. The belt clip works by covering the i-pod completely so that there is no access to the click wheel or screen. It's really only good if you just want to carry it on your belt with out using it or if you won't need to adjust the volume or the menu. I returned mine to a store after seeing that it did not have a flap for the dock connector.
