I purchased this to have a little white noise in my new baby's room. It works great, it is nice to be able to see what time it is in the middle of the night so you know how long you have nursed, etc. I like the different sounds to choose from, but usually choose the white noise. You can change the clock display's brightness, which is nice. You can also choose to play the radio.

This is a nice sound machine. I bought it for my 4 month old who was used to listening to his 'womb bear' while falling asleep. The problem was once that womb bear went off after 40 minutes sometimes he woke up if he wasn't in a deep enough sleep. I bought this for the 'heartbeat' sound but it doesn't sound like a heartbeat really to me. Instead I usually leave it on the 'ocean waves' or the 'songbirds' instead. Also, I couldn't find this or any sound machine in my Target store , I had to order it online but got free shipping. A very very good buy for $19.

this sound machine is great because it will play all night long if you want it to. It has a good selection of sounds that are very soothing and calming. If you turn the volume up high enough, it blocks out alot of outside noises that would otherwise disturb the baby. It is compact to sit perfectly on top of a dresser or nightstand, it runs on batteries or electric. My baby still does not sleep through the night, but is sleeping much better since we started using this. It is also great for naps, when my baby hears a certain sound on it, especially the songbirds, he knows it is time to take a nap. I recommend this highly, It is inexpensive and works great.

I bought this for my husband who couldn't sleep because of the dog barking next door. The gentle sounds are loud enough to drown out the dog barking, the TV, etc. Yet the calming nature sounds will lull you right to sleep! It has a great sound quality and good features. I've shopped around and this was definately the best one at a great price! We love it and would recommend it to anyone.

My son (who is now 5 months) had the hardest time going to sleep when he was a newborn. I discovered he liked the hum of the vacuum, but didn't want to burn my vacuum out every time he had to go down for a nap. My son did not like the car as well. I used to white noise sound as well as the heart beat sound & it was like a mute button on my son's crying...it was amazing!! I would definitely recommend this product to any parents that would like to help calm their little one. I was worried he would become dependent on it, but I used it all the time & he can sleep now with or without it. I basically just use the white noise now when the house is noisy (the dog barking, husband making noise, company over, etc) to help drowned out outside disturbances while he sleeps. The only flaw (which doesn't affect my love for this product in anyway) is that the clock is hard to read from some angles. If you want this item for an alarm clock, it may not be easy to read...but I don't need it for that purpose. Hope this helps those babies (and parents) that have a hard time settling down. It is a miracle worker & I will invest in another for future children!

I love that you can leave the sounds on all through the night. Most machines we tried only allowed you to keep them on 30-60 minutes. My daughter can sleep through any noise with this baby!

I have three of these and it is a great buy IMO. There are a number of sounds to choose from and the volume control is great. A couple of the sounds aren't that realistic but you are buying a machine to drown out background noice and sooth. This machine does just that. The radio is a nice add-on but the frequency display is pretty small. Once the station is chosen however it pulls in stations decently. All in all for the price it is a solid purchase. I have tried others that are much more expensive and have less features and this easily stands up to them. I have one in each of my children's rooms and they all sleep peacefully.

We love having this since it drowns out all the household noise for our baby to sleep. She listens to it on the running stream setting and sleeps so well! The best part is that it has batteries OR plug - so convienient for travel and power-outages. The drawback is the illuminated screen doesn't show the time very well, so don't depend on this for a clock, we use it mainly for sound, so not a big deal to us. Another annoying feature is that if you have a particular sound other than running stream you like to listen to, it's a bit annoying since it's the default sound that comes on when you hit power. It has it quirks, but all in all, one of the best baby products we have bought!

I have now owned this sound machine for a year. It literally runs all day long on a low volume. We don't turn the sounds off. It is in my daughter's room. She has heard the sounds since the day she came home. We don't use it for the clock. There are a lot of different sounds. We just leave it on the one that plays when you start it. Right now, I am putting it on my baby registry for my expectant son. Great sleep machine!
