The only reason I didn't give it one star is that it does toast evenly, once it toasts. However, it takes a very, very long time to get there. I usually have to toast my items twice, using the highest setting. And then, OUCH! I can't get my items out because they sit too low. When I toast smaller items it's impossible to get them out without tipping the toaster over. Don't bother!!

I got this toaster as a wedding gift and I love it! I have not had any problems with it like the other raters. It does take a bit to toast, but it's well worth it.
I definitely recommend this toaster!

I got this as a wedding gift...and I actually love it. It has worked very well for me. I have had no problems yet and I have used it quite a bit. So its great to me!

Ok so i bought this toaster and it worked absolutely great the first 2 or 3 times i used it. and then it just died! the toaster eventually wouldn't hold the bread and the inside burners went out. it worked for about 2 to 3 uses. a complete waste!

We've had ours for about a month now and we just love it. We can toast things we never could before (like donuts and bagels) because our toaster didn't have the automatic size adapting cage that this toaster does. I find that my bagels do take a bit longer to toast but it's such a nice golden brown when it's done. Great little toaster for the price :) Oh and the tray is super easy to clean!

This toaster looks great, but it definately takes two tries to toast a bagel.. on the MAXIMUM setting.

I bought this toaster base on the Black & Decker brand name but was highly dissappointed by this product. The temperature control is very loose, the toaster takes up way too much countertop space and last but not least is that the toast sits too far down in the toaster when done. Yes, it has a toast lift but even then the toast is too far inside and you burn your fingers trying to get it out. This one is going in the toast / trash bin and I have a different toaster on the way. I still like Black & Decker but this toaster is toast. Stay away from this one!
