2007 Tiverton Umbrella March 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Sandra Jarrett "Sandy" Real Name (Jacksonville)  See all my reviews >

Very disappointed in quality. First gust of wind blew this over, even though it was seated in a stand. Actually bent and broke the pole of the umbrella at the point it went into the umbrella stand. The umbrella stand did not break or tip over. I intend on returning it to Target and I hope they take it back. I already threw the box away.

Perfect for the set! May 26, 2007 Reviewer:  Jen See all my reviews >

When using the heavy weight umbrella base, the umbrella was very secure and did not wobble as others have claimed it does. Common sense tells you not to leave the umbrella open during a wind storm. The tilting mechanism is very convenient. Overall, I found the umbrella to be an excellent match to the Tiverton set and very easy to operate. Very pleased!!

needs extra parts May 1, 2007 Reviewer:  S. LaCount Real Name (Wisconsin)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this umbrella to go with the Tiverston table. The hole in the table is much larger than the pole which makes the pole lean and wobble. The first wind blew it over just like the other reviewer! The directions that come with the pole state to make sure you have the 'umbrella ring' inserted in the table. This umbrella ring is NOT included with the table or the umbrella! When I called customer service they told me Target does not include this because they want the customer to have the ability to use a wood or aluminum pole umbrella, should they have an existing umbrella. The customer service person was nice enough to tell me their company does indeed supply this special part with their products available at [a home improvement store] and would send to me at no-charge. Thanks to the supplier of the product, I'll soon have a functioning umbrella. I guess it's too much to assume the products will work together properly when they come from the same set. Shame on Target for this inconvenience.

Don't let the wind blow... May 20, 2007 Reviewer:  Mom of Two "DAR" (Cockeysville, MD)  See all my reviews >

It looks great and offers superb coverage from the sun. We recenlty had a storm in which a gust of wind literally blew the umbrella (and table), across the deck. The umbrella cracked in half in two places. There is nothing in the owner's manual that suggests putting the umbrella down after use. I am on the search for another umbrella to replace the Tiverton.

Flimsy umbrella April 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Melanie (West Grove, PA)  See all my reviews >

I bought a majority of the 2007 dining set and I loved every piece, except this umbrella. The metal pole was really flimsy and it bent in the wind within days of purchase. Save your money and buy a different umbrella.

Not what I expected April 20, 2008 Reviewer:  An Outdoor Entertainer (Buffalo Grove, IL)  See all my reviews >

I have to say I love the look of this umbrella, but it did not withstand the winds like the other person said it did for them. I bought three of the same ones. The first one broke on the first windy day and had to be returned within 30 days. The second one broke past the 90 days and I had to toss it in the garbage because they wouldn't take it back. The metal was not strong on the part that holds up the umbrella and literally cracked in half. Now I am stuck with 1 umbrella and need to find 2 more that complement the look b/c I won't purchase it again. Just wanted to be honest with the buyers out there.

color match? June 1, 2008 Reviewer:  Jennifer Young "Jennifer" Real Name (Pittsburgh)  See all my reviews >

I haven't had any wind problems with this umbrella yet, but I don't think that the color in the picture is what it actually looks like at all. I'm a little confused because the table is grey and black, but the umbrella and chair cushions look more brown to me. I would think they would want to make them more grey in color. I kept it because I am fed up with shopping and needed furniture for summer

I thought it was just bad luck January 30, 2009 Reviewer:  Not so happy "TB" (Melbourne, Fl, USA)  See all my reviews >

The first few things that fell apart made me think I had bad luck in picking durable items that would last. This item along with many other items purchased at Target, have fallen apart within a years time. My once great looking back yard has slowly dwindled down to the few items that I had purchased at other stores. I am very careful with mu things and bring them uinside when the weather gets bad. I have tried to work directly with the mfg. on seeral items but, they refer me back to Target. There is not much help with the staff at target either. I am very disapointed and would not recomend to anyone to purchase items from their outside furnishings department.

Fits the bill perfectly February 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Mary C. Fitzgerald "mom4sons" (Hickory, NC United States)  See all my reviews >

We bought this last year with the matching umbrella base - both have worked perfectly. Have had some wicked wind storms and this thing has stood its ground with no problems. It still looks as good (with no maintenance) as it did when we bought it.

wind warning March 29, 2008 Reviewer:  Tina Yang (New Orleans)  See all my reviews >

Our patio is exposed to the wind and the stand that we had to buy separately wasn't heavy enough to support it in mild gusts. The pole was a little skimpy and quality not up to our standards
