Yes folks its Xmas morning and well the title says it all. This will be returned to target on the 26th. My lil girl was so upset. I replaced the batteries and the speaker sounds like it is damaged. Make sure to open box a few days before holiday or Birthday and use it a few times to make sure you don't have a lemon.

do not get this toy if your child does not have a common name because you only get a list of names to choose from.

This sounded so great! We got it, loaded the names, etc onto it. Only 3 of the number buttons work - after you enter 3 it calls (unlike dialing 7 for a real phone number) We set it to call between the hours of 9am and 5pm. It calls in the middle of the night! We try to "receive" the messages . . the button does nothing. My daughter has hidden it at the bottom of the toy box. That tells you something.

My 6 year old daughter still plays with this phone after almost a year of owning it. I did not have any problems downloading/synching the phone at all. If you have basic computer knowledge, then you should not have any difficulty with that process. The software is easy to follow. The handset does not sit well on the phone, so you could knock it over easily. The voicemail feature is really cute.

My daughters love this phone. Barbie talks about my child by name and about her interests and friends. They love to hear their name be called out by Barbie. I highly recommend this to any little girl who loves to talk on the phone and loves Barbie.

I thought this would be a great gift for my little girl who likes to "talk" on the phone all the time. Well, she isn't that interested in talking to Barbie. I like that the phone can be programmed with her name, sibling and friends names, as well as her likes but it is somewhat limited on what time Barbie can call. You chose a time block. Our time is set to call between 2 and 4 p.m. I wish I could just chose an hour or select a period in the morning and afternoon. Plus, when you turn the switch to allow calls from Barbie, she calls often, very often. Some days, it seems like she calls a lot more than other days. We just joke that Barbie is extra chatty and ask her not to call back any more today, then I shut her off. Good idea but wish I had a little bit more control over the programming.

Barbie doesn't leave voicemails. The recording repeats the key words you entered in the program. I expected at least a "Hi Ashley, it's Barbie". I got "Ashley Monkey". At least my 2 year old laughed. I was VERY disappointed.

When I got the program installed it came with, I entered in her information, and then plugged it in to download it to the phone, and it said that connection couldnt' be found, so I adjusted it, read the directions again, and did everything, short of physical damage.
