Cute idea but not a great toy

This is a great idea for a toy but comes up a little short. The books can be very temperamental - some pages don't play or you have to fuss with the book quite a bit so that it registers with the toy. My daughter would rather point to each item than use the bee to get a response. A shame because this is a cute idea. I would not recommend this toy.

I bought this for Christmas for my 17 month old and am dissapointed. For starters the bee has to be completely upright on the page for it to say the word/color.etc. The book is at a angle so it is harder for her to get the bee in the right position. Second, the on/off button lights up and flashes, that seems to be all she wants to push since it gets her attention. Lastly the book holder in back comes open very easily and all the books fall out. It had potential but needs work to make it enjoyable for young kids.

We purchased this for our daughters first birthday and were so disappointed. For one the thing just didnt work, the machine didnt recognize each book and it just didnt work when you waved the bee over the book, plus the on/off switch is a really large button that flashes constantly that just grabd baby's attention, so you'll find that all your baby will do is constantly shut it on and off, it's just a really poor design and I wouldnt recommend buying it. We plan on returning it today!

My daughters father purchased this for her for christmas and it looks like a great toy, but it is just not interactive. The only thing the peaks her interests about this toy is turning it off and on and turning the pages. It will do a little song once you've turned it on and then ask you to look for a specific item on the page......and thats it???? I like V-tech toys just not this one!

bought this toy for my nephew last christmas and overall i was disapointed. Especially for the price its being sold at. It worked for about 6 months then the bee wouldnt read the books. Also the bee is in a bad location. I just would not recommend this toys for others.

I bougth this for my 1 yr old about two yrs ago. He would just turn it on and off. He didn't really understand it and all off the books worked fine with the magnet. Now he is two and a half and he understands it but now only one book works sometimes. This isn't that durable But I do recommend it for older children that are at the age of learning shapes and things around the house. Maybe buy at two yrs old.

At the time we bought this toy months back it was an expensive toy, and not worth the money at all! The bee only works on one object in one story and there are 4 stories of things it should point to and vocally say out loud. It didnt do that and my daughter ended up getting extremely frustrated at it. She would just turn it on and off to hear the noise and wouldnt touch any other part of it because it didnt work. It wasnt worth the money to hear on/off button working on it:(

We bought this for my son for the upcoming Christmas. I had my doubts about it so we opened it to see if my son would even like it. Boy am I glad we did!!! The first one hardly even worked at all. Only one book out of the four would registar. We thought it might just be a flaw in one. The second was better. All the books worked but only about HALF of the pictures worked with the bee. I'm so angry. I just read all the reviews and apparently this is common. Won't buy Vtech ever again! Second toy we've hated from them!

This was a gift for son's first bday. At that age he just wanted to turn it on/off. He is now 21 months and enjoys playing with it. We haven't had any trouble with the bee or the books, he just can't change the books by himself.

My 12-month old just got this toy and he also doesn't understand the logistics of it I can see that it will be greatly educational when he is a little older. Right now he just turns it off and on. The bee magnet works fine and it seems like a good quality toy.
