We use this cooker at least 4 times a week and it works well. It does seem to take a while to cook the rice and it is a little harder when you are trying to figure out how to make a smaller amount of rice, but it does a good job.

I gave myself this aroma rice cooker for christmas of 2008 and use it at least twice a week! It works perfectly! Beeps when it is done and stays on the warm cycle until you turn it off. I do not recommend keeping it on the warm cycle for more than an hour or two at the most(the rice will remain hot and over cook.)

I just bought this today and I am very pleased with what I bought. I have never used a rice cooker before so I really didn't know what I was getting into but after reading the instructions it seemed really simple it made perfect white rice and steamed broccoli for dinner.

I have used this rice cooker only a couple of times now. But has been good. I had a "Black & Decker" rice cooker previously. It used to spill rice water all over the counter. This one has a closed lid & looks nice. I am currently using my old measuring cup, but no problems so far like rice getting burnt. Will try to use the one given with this. The price was also ok. A good buy.

I purchased the Aroma Model ARC 998, very similar to this model. Difference is this model only has 2 settings, the 998 has 4 settings. Nonetheless, the problems are the same. When the cooking of the rice is complete, the cooker ALWAYS burns the bottom of the rice. My neighbor purchased the same rice cooker and she had the same problems. Thus, I am always wasting $$ because when I use the cooker, I need to cook more rice than I need in order to have enough (non burnt) rice for the meal. I tried to return it to Target but since I didn't keep the receipt after use, they would not let me. Stay away from this brand!

We love this rice cooker, we cook rice almost every day and I steam veggies for my baby, it's very good. It does its job perfectly in 30 min max.
I recommend to every one, and by the way I love the price.

I bought this rice cooker at a Target store 6 months ago and I'm happy with it. It has made my life easier since I'm a working mother whose children like to be fed as soon as we get home. I set the delay timer for the time I want the rice to be finished and when I get home it's ready. I cook brown rice and it comes out pretty good in this. The pot has a nonstick type surface so the clean up is fast and easy. The rice will get a little crusty on the bottom if after being cooked it sits in the pot for an hour or so. This rice cooker and my crockpot make life easier. I would recommend this Aroma rice cooker.

I had a Zojirushi rice cooker for years when I had a family. Every pot it cooked was perfect, unlike the aroma where it had hot spots and consistantly burnt the rice. Also, if you left the rice in there for even a short time it would burn and get yellow and crusty. The Zojirushi you could leave the rice in there for even a couple of days and it would be perfect. I was so disappointed about the aroma I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Obviously, the people that built it have never used it. I give it a definate two thumgs down.

Just bought this for my new home after using 2 Aroma rice cookers for over TEN years. Rice and other grains are a staple in this mostly vegetarian household and I use this nearly twice a day and it never fails; exactly as my previous Aroma basic model.
The programming feature is great and very easy to use; very nice for taking the kid to whatever lessons and coming back to dinner ready to serve or having my oatmeal hot and ready when I get up in the morning.
As I mentioned about my previous Aroma cooker, I could have bought a much fancier, more expensive cooker but I would have regretted it. I've never had a sticking problem; they practically rinse out without any work whatsoever. Aroma rice (and lots more foods) cookers are the only brand worth my consideration. Lots of value for little money--isn't that why we shop at Target in the first place?!
