MAN, THIS GAZEEBO IS PRETTY! BUT THE TOP GOT RIPPED TO SHREDS AND SO DID THE CURTAINS! FOR ALL THE MONEY I PAID FOR THIS I EXPECTED BETTER TARGET!!! THE SET UP WAS THE PITS BUT THE FINISHED PRODUCT WAS LOVELY AND IT STILL IS EXCEPT FOR THE CURTAINS AND THE CANOPY. TO AVOID THE WHOLE THING FLYING AWAY IN ONE OF THE HIGH DESERTS OF CALIFORNIA, WIND STORMS, MY HUSBAND AND I FOUND A CHEAP A SIMPLE SOLUTION. WE FILLED THE FOUR POSTS WITH GRAVEL ABOUT HALF WAY UP OR MORE. WE WENT TO ONE OF THE NEW HOME BUILDERS AND ASKED IF WE COULD HAVE SOME OF THEIR SAND BAGS. THEY SAID YES. BAGS WERE FREE. NO BOLTING DOWN ANYTHING AND IT HASN'T MOVED THIS PAST YEAR AT ALL. I WISH TARGET SOLD THE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO SOME OF BIG TICKET ITEMS LIKE THIS. THEN I WOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO PURCHASE MORE BIG TICKET ITEMS.

I couldn't tell you whether I liked it or not because when I unpacked it 3 out of the 4 columns were destroyed during shipping. I attempted to straighten 2 of them with some luck but the third one was too far gone, so I just shot it and put it out of its misery. Seriously, I was hoping to put it together for our Memorial Day BBQ but that won't be happening now. I guess my biggest mistake was taking down my old canopy this past weekend so I could get it in the garbage not even thinking the new one would come trashed. After contacting Target, they said the best they could do is replace the entire thing. Unfortunately, the best delivery they could do for me was sometime within the next week or so. For such an expensive canopy you would think that the packing material that protects it would be much better than what it was. I could not be more disappointed. Maybe I'll just print out a picture to show everyone what we should have been sitting under as were baking in the sun. Nice job Target!

As far as beauty goes this one is great and with the chandelier it is stunning. Warning though, after the 3rd season the wind ripped the canopy and it has little tears. Also, don't sit under it in a large windstorm you might be surprised how flimsy it seems. Our tropical paradise went crashing down onto our new light piers ruining my $300 lantern and ruining my spiral tree and urn on my patio. It was like a nightmare. Thank goodness we were able to salvage the gazebo and had all new bolts added to secure it because all of their metal welds just snapped. As for the canopy, good luck getting a new one!!! The company is not helpful at all and you cannot get through to customer service. I am going to attempt to make a canopy for it and some new curtains as the ones they provide are a little flimsy. One good thing is that it did not rust. After the disaster we had to use the rustoleum paint the recover the areas that were scratched. [...]

We purchased our Tiverton 2007 Gazebo in early-May last year. Like other reviewers, it did not take us 2 hours to erect it, more like 6 hours, but the results are perfect. And, like other reviewers, the canopy is the issue for us. We took it off over the winter and stored it, along with the screens. We have high winds all the time as we are on the Potomac River but have had no problems until this morning. When we put the canopy back on about a month ago we put a small rip in the fabric near one of the hooks. I had not yet gotten around to putting fabric tape on the tear. We have had severely high winds and heavy rains over the past weekend and this morning I got a call at work telling me that the canopy was in shreds. Other reviewers gave the Numark's "800" number so I called and was able to order a replacement. I was worried about not being able to replace it. Only yesterday we were at Target and purchased a new set of Sean Conway patio furniture to compliment our gazebo. Thanks to other reviewers for the information.

I got this Gazebo last April had it put up for my anniversary in June. It has been a delight. At the end of the fall i wanted to know if I should take the canopy down for the winter, so i contacted the manufacture and they said it must come down it would not take the weight of the snow. After several intent on my part and instructions sent to me by the manufacture, I just could not get it down so I left it up. And I am happy to say that it snowed and rained and wild winds of 40 miles per hr were reported several times in my area and the Gazebo the canopy and everything I stuck under it for the winter are still standing. the canopy a little faded but that is to be expected. So I am very happy and hoping to enjoy it again with family and friends this spring, summer and fall.

I bought this Gazebo last year.It looked beautiful! Setting it up was a nightmare! Not an easy tast, directions were the pits. It looked beautiful though. We did enjoy it all last summer and noticed that the welds and cross bars were beginning to show signs of rust. We took the canopy part down for the winter. I have to say though, one big windstorm in December wiped this gazebo out. All of the welds on the brackets snapped.Yes, thats right. Secured to a deck with no canopy on it but down it went! Turned out to be a very expensive gazebo, although beautiful, terrible quality and construction. Save your money and look for something else!

The two big reasons this Gazebo is good is because of the style and size. The fact is I did't want to build an addition to my house, like a sunroom, because of the cost. So I bought this because it looks good. Most gazebos available look a little like tents and who wants that? I would buy it again even with the problems.
....Note the size of patio furniture sets when you look around. They don't comfortably fit within the boundaries of all the smaller gazebos. Big is necessary.
The only real problem is that this isn't built for a rainy climate. The designer must live in southern California. There are too many opportunities for rain to find its way in.... small drip spots here and there.
But still, even though I live in a rainy climate I would buy it again. It does the job well.

I too purchased this gazebo in 2007 and had it anchored into my concrete slab. It has held up to some pretty strong weather and the canopy just ripped last week when a hail storm came through due to the hail being too heavy. The structure is still fine. Through many days of research, I have finally been able to get a replacement canopy ordered [...]. [...]
This gazebo is one of the best in it's class, it just needs to be anchored properly and take down canopy during extreme weather. I would purchase it again:)
