AVOID - DEFECTIVE April 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Fair Reviewer (Wisconsin)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this end of summer 2007 for $500. It collapsed and there is only a 6 month warranty - and it doesn't cover acts of nature. The company is very hard to get a hold of - 3 days of calling and sitting on hold. And to get replacement parts is expensive. So not worth the $500.

Need proper support April 2, 2008 Reviewer:  B. Harris Real Name (Chesapeake, Virginia)  See all my reviews >

We dropped 6x6 posts in the ground and set the gazebo on top. Structurally it is very stable! The pins are [junk] so don't use them. The canapy is worn out but lasted about 2 years. There are no visible signs of rust and the curtains are in great shape. The canapy ripped in a few places from excessive wind but lasting 2 years was about all I expected.

Third time is a charm! March 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Sharon L. Adamson Real Name See all my reviews >

We live in Nevada & the high winds fly through our backyard during the winter months, along with the snow. We had lost two gazebos prior to this one. I just happened to be in Target & saw it as a floor model last June 07 & was floored by how beautiful it looked. My husband put it together all by himself...the key was he balanced it on two six foot ladders.
It took a little while to put together but the payoff is how great it looks. We attached ours to side of house which makes it stronger. Tip for winter: remove canopy & curtains! We are looking forward to Spring & again enjoying our gazebo!
Happy & Satisfied in Fernley Nevada! Thanks

Expensive item but POORLY constructed March 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Unhappy Customer "C" (Las Vegas)  See all my reviews >

Unfortunately we have learned a hard lesson. We bought the item in 2007 and just now strated to put it up at our new house. If you look at the welding done on the colums and the brackets that fit them, it looks like a 2 year old did it. We went to put the canopy piece on and the brackets snaped right off the post at the seams where the welding was done. Thank god we werent sitting under it when a gust of wind came through. Now since they no longer sell it in the store, we are stuck trying to repair this thing that just came out the box or re-ordering one online and paying the expensive shipping on it and swaping out parts. I will definately keep in consideration the comments from others regarding the canopy.

This gazebo is beautiful to look at, however, it will require about 4 people to put it together. First you have to assemble the entire top portion, then to have to lift that whole top to put the legs on. There is no simple way to put this together easily. Far to heavy to be put together by one person. My wife bought this and the wind tore it up before I could get it together. Make sure that you have plenty of strong help.

Great Gazebo March 17, 2008 Reviewer:  S. K. Foor Real Name (Chicago Metro Area)  See all my reviews >

We got this gazebo April 2007. Friends and I assembled and anchored it to our concrete patio with stanless steel hardware. We also purchased the matching chandelier. The structure has held up extremely well. However, the canopy material is another story. The canopy has held up through some very strong winds but has become effected by exposure to the elements. I stored the canopy this last winter and recently put it back up. It has since developed a tear and I'm sure it won't last very much longer.

We had some custom side curtains made from Sunbrella material by a local awning company and it looks great.
If the canopy was better quality and could be relied upon to last a few more years, this gazebo would be awesome.

A classy, beautiful and very practical home attraction March 16, 2008 Reviewer:  Lovin' Summer "Trish" (Clarence,NY)  See all my reviews >

My husband and I purchased this summer of 06 and it was one of the smartest purchases we've made to complement our backyard living experience. We put it on our deck which was subject to full sunlight most of the day. The gazebo made it elegant, cool and livable! Assembly was challenging, but do-able.Considering it was just him,me and our 2 very small children,we managed nicely. Definitely take the fabric off for the winter to preserve its quality. One drawback is that the tops of the columns are fairly thin and pliable near where it connects to the top frame. Last Fall, after a few too many windstorms our gazebo came crashing down on top of our grill. The breakpoints were these tabs. We are new to Western NY and didn't realize it was quite so windy here. We were crushed when our outdoor "summer club" came crashing down, however we are looking to replace and will most likely take all the suggestions of sand-filling and bolting this time to protect our investment.

We love it!! March 12, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom of Three "Sandy O" (Western NY, USA)  See all my reviews >

My husband brought this for our anniversary gift. It took awhile to assemble it but we got it up! We love it! Our deck to the pool is so hot we needed something! It keeps us cool and away from bugs all day and early evenings. Some lessons learned from last year that will apply for this year is to spray Scotch Gaurd on the canopy. It is not meant for HEAVY rain without the Scotch gaurd on it. As for keeping it up all winter long (for those of us who live where it snows, TAKE IT DOWN! It is not a 4 season product. I do agree with one customer, it can break or crack. One of our corner pieces cracked when a High Wind storm came through our area(NY). Other than that, our family love the gazebo!!

Gazebo top March 7, 2008 Reviewer:  outdoor gal See all my reviews >

We purchased our gazebo in May 07 and really enjoyed it every single day during spring, summer and fall. It looks very stylish and is helpful. We put it up next to the dining room patio door and it feels like an extension of the house. The only negative is the top cloth. It seems to be made of lesser quality. When that top cloth rips apart (and it will during high wind, trust me) you are stuck with another major expense as you will have to reorder. I went to shoe repair shops to find out if the top could be sewn and it is not possible. So now I am trying to find out how I can order a new one and what the cost will be. It's a hassle to take the top down and exchange it. Would that not be the case, I would give it a 5* rating.

Wonderful Product February 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Staying Cool "BarneyGal" (Dallas, GA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this gazebo in the summer of 2007. I love being able to use my patio without roasting. I agree that the instructions left a lot to desire but my son-in-law had no problem putting it together (just use common sense). We anchored it to the patio with concrete screws. This year we plan to put sand in the posts even though it went thru some high winds this year in GA. I agree with others that where the hooks are sewn to the canvas that there should be reinforcement. I plan to add a reinforcing strip around the canvas where the hooks attach. Compared to other gazebos I have seen I find this one excellent. I also plan to add weights to the bottom of the screens so that they don't blow in the breeze.
