I bought this Gazebo two years ago, I'm not sure why some say bad things about it I have had nothing but good. I live in Indiana so you have to take down the top and curtians for the winter I wash them and put them on a large hanger and store them I also bolted it down to the patio, its worth ever bit of work. You have to take care of it and it will last a long time. Mine still looks brand new.....you can see pictures of it on HGTV rate my space.

I bought this beautiful gazebo in 2007. The canopy is ripped on one side like other peoples. Also it claims to be rust proof and all 4 of my major support beams are rusted through and are now hanging. This gazebo sits in an enclosed patio area and is properly taken care of. If you buy this, it will have to be replaced within 2 years. In addition to replacement costs, the inconvenience of putting it together and taking down, and wiring the electrical for the chandelier is not worth it.

we love our gazebo! We removed the cover for the winter, which I would recomend. We share in the frustration reguarding ordering a replacement canopy. Not needed yet, but will need one for next year, I think. I wanted to share an idea. I purchased two beige fabric shower curtains for $10 each. I hung them over the screens on the inside. I put them on the west side of the gazebo so we can enjoy it in the evening when the setting sun is blinding. It works like a charm. You just hook every other hole in the curtain. It looks like a custom job. One other tip, I reinforced the area around the tabs that hold the clips on the canopy with beige colored canvas iron on patches. I put them on both sides. Let's all enjoy the shade!

When we first purchased this 2007 model, my husband and I were hoping to enjoy this gazebo for at least two Summers. That way we felt we had a more beautiful gazebo than the ones half the price but didn't spend anymore than the cheaper ones that last only one season. We bought this in the beginning of the season and my husband put it together easily, with no modifications, in one afternoon. I helped him place the canopy. We did NOT bolt this to the ground. I do not recommend this but our patio has pavers over concrete and would not bolt into them with ease. My husband made wood bottoms for the columns and screwed them into each leg. Then, he placed one 50lb. bag of sand in each leg and surprisingly it has not even budged during high winds and storms. We had the chandelier on order but found an even more practical solution, a standing outdoor fan. These fans are made to stand independently but we put it through our umbrella hole in the table and added the light kit. It's the perfect height for the canopy and creates a very good breeze. Depending on your table, you may have to modify assembly but this does not affect the performance of the product or detract from its beauty. Target sells this fan online and best of all, you do not have to take it down (like the chandelier) in a storm. Overall, this is a gorgeous gazebo and the studiest one we have found at a decent price over the years.

My husband purchased the tiverton 2007 gazebo. It is very attractive and we thought we would enjoy sitting in our yard at night without bugs. Wrong, the mosquito screen flys around and is not secure, so all the bugs in the area come in, the awning is ripping where the material is sewn for the hooks. We have only had this gazebo up for 3 days.I can't imagine how it is going to be by the end of the summer. Every storm that comes by we will have to remove the top. Being seniors, this is not an easy task. We put the gazebo next to our small paver patio, so we had to dig holes and pour concrete to secure the poles, that part is sturdy, but I am really going to be upset if this does not hold up and we have to remove the concrete and return our yard back to its original condition. We definatly do not recommend this gazebo. It is attractive, but I can't see it lasting for any length of time.

We purchased this gazebo in March '09. Just like other reviews state, it takes a few people to assemble. Based on other reviews I took a few extra steps....right away I ordered a replacement canopy (they just don't last forever) so I have it in a few years when I will need it (phone # of manufacturer is on the included paperwork). Second,to make the original canopy last longer, I treated it with an outdoor fabric waterproofer with ultra-violet protection built in. We also installed a ceiling fan, which makes our outdoor space comfortable, even during the muggy Georgia summer. With a little common sense, this gazebo will be enjoyable for many years

I like it. It is a very nice, big Gazebo. It provides a nice stately garden-like atmosphere which I was looking for. Construction is relatively easy, but does require 2 people ... 3 people would be better just to erect it as you build the entire top first, then lift it onto all the legs. It is very sturdy...once you move the legs out to a nice wide stance and screw/bolt it down. It would get 5 stars, but the canopy top isn't water-proof!! I will need to water-proof it..which would have been easier before I put it up. Also, the canopy corners do not lay flat...I am going to secure them down with adhesive velcro.

I purchased my gazebo in 2007, this is my 3rd summer enjoying it, I built a platform from decking boards and secured it down because of our harsh winds & winters.I recommend anyone living in chicago SHOULD remove the canopy for the winter, several inches of snow can get very heavy especially when wet, I also purchased all the Sean Conway furniture along with it dining table, 6 chairs, Bar W/ chairs, and a beautiful chandelier that hangs above for evening family gatherings,we get alot of complements from all our friends and family on our set-up.this spring while hanging the netting i accidently tore it, it has gotten worse as this summer goes on, i will have to buy a new one next spring other than my mishap we enjoy our gazebo alot

After refurbishing our deck following Hurricane Ike,
I happened to see a Target e-ad for this gazebo. Needing some shade on our finished deck to block the 100 degree Houston sun, I ordered it without hesitation. It came in about a week and a half (FREE DELIVERY! Woo Hoo!). It was VERY heavy. We assembled it over 2 days with reasonably clear instructions and quite high quality materials. The coating on the metal is quite durable and the canopy is a well designed perfect fit. As a structural engineer, I was impressed with it's strength and stiffness. This gazebo is not likely to move much in another hurricane. The screen netting is great to protect from the giant and prolific south Texas Mosquitos. We ran out and purchased a mister system from Home Depot along with a ceiling fan we installed in the peak. The legs of the gazebo were well designed to allow electric and water supply down the center of them. There is a grommet at the bottom to allow them to come out at the bottom. That was a nice thought to keep from having to run these down the outside of the leg. Now we're sitting pretty in a cool, misty shade of our bug-proof gazebo! We are thrilled with it.

We are entering our third summer with the Tiverton Gazebo. It is awesome. There are only 2 things you need to know to get the most out of the gazebo. Bolt it down (it is light and will be moved by the wind) and take the canopy and screens off for the winter. I think we will get one more summer at least out of the top. We live in Northern Virginia and can get some tough weather in the winter and have had no problems.
