57 mph winds today and the only canopy to survive! April 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Biztech Real Name See all my reviews >

Yes, both my neighbors canopies are laying in piles of junk but you get what you pay for. Mine survived once again but did lose the canopy. I have had it since 2006 and I am on my third top. But keep in mind I do live in Fla by the beach and does get windy and faded. If you use the hooks as instructed the first big wind the top will rip at the hooks! Then use the holes and bungee cords and will buy you a few more months. This time I am using 8 bungee cords on the corners and some sailing rivets. It is fastened to the cement and really sturdy. I am not sure if they have improved but took me two trips to mix and match to get complete set that was not broken. Dont know if I would order one via the mail? But do love it, serves its purpose, and figure 100 bucks a years to maintain.

attractive and purposeful March 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Floss Daily (Maryland Suburbs)  See all my reviews >

I bought this for my deck, which gets alot of sun, and to keep the rain off when we use the back door. It was fairly easy to assemble, but you definitely need a couple of people, because it's big and awkward when you get to the part where you attach the posts. I got it in May of 2008, and waited to do the review to see if I'd have the problems like everyone else. I haven't, I didn't take the fabric down this winter, and while we only had a couple of snows here in maryland we did have alot of wind. Nothing ripped, none of the posts broke or bent, I didn't secure it to the deck with anything. I did purchase the chadalier as well, which is pretty heavy and left that up all year too, maybe that was heavy enough to hold it down?? I like it, it's beautiful. I gavev it 4 because The directions for putting the curtains up weren't clear, and I didn't do it right so they don't slide as easily as they could.

The top is NOT charcoal gray it is beige. March 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Florida Chick (Apopka, FL)  See all my reviews >

The entire reason that we bought this particular (and much more expensive) gazebo was because the top was listed as being charcoal gray. We live in Florida and our last gazebo top was beige and turned black very quickly due to pollen and humidity. We thought that buying a gazebo with a darker canopy would increase the lifespan of the look of the top. Unfortunately it is NOT charcoal gray, but dark beige

Wrong parts February 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Wife yelling at me See all my reviews >

Ordered online and received exactly when they said it would arrive. Waited for weather to get better prior to assembly (1 week). When starting to assemble, step 1 match A1 to A2 and align to flush....not flush! 6" overhang... wrong parts! Called Target to get number and gave me wrong number. Called another number was sent to another number. Finally got online number (800) 591-3869 to send another gazebo or replacement parts. If you order this product, make sure you have the right parts before signing!

short lived February 23, 2009 Reviewer:  penny pincher "penny pincher" (carolina)  See all my reviews >

We purchased this gazebo spring 2006. It was one of the most attractive gazebos on the market. However it's beauty was short lived. It held up fine for two years and then fell apart. We would love to replace the top canopy and mosquito netting if It is cost affectiv, cannot affort to repace every two years. thanks

beautiful..but bad quality!! July 13, 2008 Reviewer:  Kathy J (oak creek, wi)  See all my reviews >

This gazebo is beautiful...too bad it has severe quality issues. We have had ours up for a total of 4 months and it is now in pieces on it's way to the city dump...what a total waste of time and money. Even though we filled the legs with sand bags (it was really heavy and seemed stable), twice it crashed onto our patio furniture damaging tables, umbrellas and chairs!

The last time the wind knocked it over, it tore the welded brackets off the pillars and now the pillars are junk...no way to repair with out spending a ton more time and money....

The netting and top ripped almost immediately (and faded badly too).

It's really too bad...it's beautiful but junk..save yourseof a big headache!

Don't puchase this item!!! May 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Discouraged Family (McKinney, TX)  See all my reviews >

What a nightmare this has been! My story began last summer when my husband and I extended our patio, we decided to cover the new patio with the Sean Conway Gazebo. We quickly ran and purchased three of them to cover the entire back patio area. Everything was fine until this past spring when high winds and hail ruined the top covers. No probem, we can just order a replacement, right? Wrong, you can't find a replacement for this gazebo to save your life. Don't be foolded by GardenWinds who claim they have replacements because they don't fit! I've spoken to Target Customer Service - several times which is a JOKE by the way - There is not one sole at Target who is interested or cares. These gazebos are manufactured in China by Lovejoy Industries who you can't find or reach either. So we now have 3 gazebos with three chandeliers all bolted down on my back patio that are an eye sore with one cover competely gone and the other two badly torn and damaged. This was a major investment for us since these gazebos are not cheap!! [...] Our friends which bought one last year has since torn it down and thrown the entire mess in the trash! I've taken one of the covers to a custom apholstry shop to see if I can get three new ones made, no luck getting a price and it's been 3 weeks!! [...]

not for areas with wind, rain or snow February 8, 2008 Reviewer:  cathy (kenn. WA)  See all my reviews >

We loved the look of this gazebo and were excited to get it set up. We secured the columns in cement and enjoyed it for a few weeks until the first spring winds came. The canopy is a piece of [junk]. The hooks ripped out and ripped the material. We ordered a new canopy which did the same thing and also leaked when it rained. The whole top just collapsed on us and bent all the support beams on top so we will now have to build a new top for it this spring. The columns are great so we will be working with them since they are secured in cement. A lesson learned!

collapsed in a rain storm. July 5, 2007 Reviewer:  C. R. Brown Real Name See all my reviews >

Loved this for the one season I had it. One good rain, and the welds broke out of the canopy support system sending the canopy to the ground. I cannot believe I spent $500 and this happened. How do you take all the parts back to target and return it now? Do not waste your money. Looks wonderful for only a short period of time!

Broken Legs March 24, 2009 Reviewer:  D. Mcdonnell Real Name (Warwick, NY)  See all my reviews >

The gazebo was great, we loved it...until we had a wind storm and two legs broke off. It fell into the side of the house and broke a window. We had the legs welded back on and the next wind storm, the top ripped and blew off. Now we have to figure out how to get another top.
