This is not for a crew of 2 by any means. You need to invite all the muscle men you know over to get this job completed.

Great gazebo with some added elements for strength

After reading other's reviews regarding the Gazebo blowing over in a storm and otherwise not weathering well, I decided to figure out a way I could fix this problem. I purchased my Gazebo in 2007 but I just put it up this summer after I had a concrete patio installed. There was a little bit of rust on some of the pieces and I went over these with flat black rustoleum. I also fortified all of the seams and the stitching around the hooks that hold the top on with fabric glue. I did not want to put any holes in my new patio and I think I came up with the perfect solution to add strength and weight to the gazebo by placing 6"x6"x8' timbers down each of the 4 support pillars. I had to trim about 18 inches or so off the end of each of the timbers with a sawsall. They slid right into the pillars and fit perfectly. I and my daughter were able to carry them but we needed some assist to put them into place. It survived the recent wind storm in NW Ohio and I would recommend this solution to anyone contemplating getting this great Gazebo. LB

Although this product looks beautiful it IS NOT STURDY AT ALL. Whoever wrote that this Gazebo withstood high winds AND snow must be fibbing. I live in PA and after getting somewhat Heavy snow and forgetting to take off the canopy. The canopy ripped from the weight of the snow. Which I would have expected! It was a pain in the butt to replace and it cost us over 150.0o. Today after 15mph winds the Whole Gazebo toppled over and broke to pieces WITH my $110 chandelier attached!!!! Mind you this is the second time it has happened. The first time this happened the gazebo swayed from the winds and we had it fixed because the Colums brackets broke. SO as far as it looking good YES, it does. But so Not worth the headache and Money! Don't belive the other reviews of how and where it goes makes a difference. This Gazebo is NOT BUILT to last for sure! Take it from me OR Go ahead and waste your money!

We have greatly enjoyed our gazebo. We replaced the canopy due to fading once, but we get a long of hot sun and occasional fierce storms in Houston. We filled the legs with garden rocks. We wired in an indoor/outoor chandelier and water fountain. Our handyman told us a fan with light kit would be too heavy. When Hurricane Ike hit 1 yr ago (130+ mph winds) we took off the canopy, lighting etc. and tied 2 cinder blocks to each leg. It rode the 8 hour storm out fine (only thing that did!). Funny thing - we never bolted it down to our pavers and the entire unit slid about 6 feet across the patio (full of rocks and weighted with cinder blocks) with no bending etc. For that I give it 5 *****.

My neighbor put it up for me and had no problems at all. Just follow the directions step by step and it goes up in a couple of hours. I was worried about the terrible winds we had last night but it was still standing this morning. Some of the trees went down but my gazebo was still standing and we haven't had a chance to bolt it to the patio yet. I plan to store the roof and netting during the winter months.
Buy this without fears....it is a great buy.

We are looking into purchasing this gazebo...are the legs hollow? We get wind and I am concerned with it blowing away. We don't want to put holes in our patio so my husband thought about putting sand in the legs to help hold it down. Can anyone that already has one give me some helpful advice??

I am looking for a gazebo that I can cover with tarps during the winter. The last one I had, which was bolted to our patio, didn't survive this past winter. We were looking at this one and wondering if it would survive Jersey winters.

My husband and I were thinking of buying this gazebo for our patio to keep the nosy neighbors eyes away, but was wondering if anyone could tell me what the walk in height is, you know the distance between the ground and the what your head would walk under. I would REALLLY appreciate if someone could let us know.
Thanks in advance
