Hard to close! November 28, 2006 Reviewer:  M. McClung Real Name (USA)  See all my reviews >

I could not fit many items in the tortilla because It then became impossible to snap the lid closed. I had to manually hold it down and my toppings would spill out over the sides of the unit. If you like very thin quesadilla's then this is the unit for you. I sold it at a garage sale.

Love it! January 18, 2007 Reviewer:  S. Omeone "newsiereader" See all my reviews >

I got this for Christmas and use it a lot. I have used the recipes in the included booklet as well as my own recipes. One key here is you HAVE to use burrito size tortillas if you want to prevent the food from squeezing out all sides. The burrito size tortillas are big enough to seal all the food in, unless you overstuff it. You can pile up to a 1/2" thick of ingredients without it spilling out if you use the right size tortilla. This is very easy to do if you put your refried beans and other ingredients in the blender to get them smooth for the bean layer, or you shred your cooked chicken. I've made several types of bean, cheese and chicken as well as dessert quesadillas in this thing. (Try adding a few chocolate shavings or chocolate chips as a last layer in the banana quesadillas -- heavenly!) It is hard to close and that's why it doesn't get five stars. But you can close it; you have to really push down on the top lever as the quesadilla warms and then push the clamp down over it, then it will stay closed. Overall, I'm very happy with it! It makes the quesadillas so crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside! Also incredibly easy to reheat unused portions in it, and they taste as fresh as when first made. Another key is the brand of tortilla you use. Some flour tortillas have a funky artificial taste and you smell it when they are cooking. Get the right brand, and you're on your way to your new favorite quick meal, dessert or snack!

Very good July 5, 2007 Reviewer:  Disney Mom "Jen" (Vancouver, WA, USA)  See all my reviews >

This Quesadilla maker, makes wonderful food. It's very easy clean up and doesn't take long to heat up. The only down side is...it is difficult to snap shut when you put much inside it. If you're makes cheese only quesadillas its great, anything else is a bit much.

my favorite appliance! March 2, 2008 Reviewer:  shopping2drop (Edwardsville, IL)  See all my reviews >

This product is the best thing to have. It's impossible to find in stores! Had to order online and so glad I did. Its so easy to use, heats up in 5 minutes, cooks a quesadilla in 3-4 minutes, depending on how crunchy you want. My 15 yr old daughter loves it and uses it when she gets home from school. Its a great meal or snack. The possibilities are endless. I always have items on had to use, such as ground meat (beef or turkey),or cut up chicken. I mix in taco seasoning after browning the meat, but not too much water or it will run out the sides of tortillas and make a mess. Clean-up is a breeze, just wipe off while warm. I need to experiment with other ingredients. I use this product almost daily! I can't believe they are not in stores around here, unless they're selling off the shelves that quickly. For $20, you must try it, you will love it. My daughter wanted to learn how to make one the day I received it. Her favorite is chicken and cheese (shredded colby-jack)and dips it in ranch dressing. So many ways to make one, its alot of fun for kids! Thanks, Target, for providing this product.

My best friend has one of these at her place, and we use it quite frequently. it cooks the quesadillas perfectly and cleaning it is so easy it takes almost no time at all. The quesadillas are the perfect size, too. great for a snack or meal...Overall, worth the price, and a great addition to anyone's kitchen.

Perfect Every Time June 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Angie "nycpickymom" (NYC)  See all my reviews >

My daughter is a picky eater but she loves quesadillas. It's very simple to use and to clean and the quesadillas come out crisp and the filling is always heated through even when I start with cold filling. You plug it in, wait for the light and pop a quesadilla in. The plates are non stick and work wonderfully. Heat till the light pops back on and enjoy.
Cleanup is simply wiping down the plates with a wet paper towel. It is also very cute and spices up my kitchen.

You get what you pay for! June 2, 2008 Reviewer:  M. Viale Real Name See all my reviews >

I bought the El Paso Quesadilla Maker on-line as I do almost all of my shopping on-line and I was very excited to get it. One of my friends has one but a little bigger in size and I love hers. This one however, as I was putting the lid down to lock it on the second Quesadilla the handle broke off and the lid cracked right up the center. I have been holding the lid down with my hand and a towel to make the Quesadilla's because for [the price] I do not think it is worth trying to ship it back and get it replaced. I will just use it as is and throw it in the garbage when I can't use it any more. So "you get what you pay for!"

Not Worth It January 28, 2009 Reviewer:  LuvMyDog (Independence, MO, USA)  See all my reviews >

The best feature is just the aesthetic appeal in the color and pepper handle. If the lid is closed all the cheese runs out and you end up with more like a thin nacho sandwich. I like some substance in a quesadilla and this is only good for a tiny bit of cheese if the tortillas are thin enough. Easier and better just to make on the stove.

Love It!! September 29, 2009 Reviewer:  brown eyed girl "Mary" (North Carolina)  See all my reviews >

Great little quesadilla maker. I read all the reviews and was not sure what to expect. I love it!! It's so fast and easy to clean. It makes great quesadilla. The filling is always hot and the cheese melted completely. It's fast and gets the tortilla shells just crispy enough. Worth the money.
