The only reason I am giving this product a 3 and not lower is that my baby seems to like it. She is three weeks old right now and needs to be held CONSTANTLY - except when she is in the swing. In that respect, this thing is a lifesaver.

Unfortunately, the thing has such a LOUD knocking noise any time the swing is going that I can't sleep when it's on. If you have a baby, you KNOW how important it is to be able to sleep while the baby sleeps. Also, the swing seems to either not move at all or go out of control crazy. The settings are completely inconsistent. Also, ours is lopsided sometimes (and not others - weird).

I like that it changes directions, and like I said, my daughter loves it. But it could definitely use some improvements.

So I fell in LOVE with this swing when my baby was born. 2 weeks later it started slowing down and eventually just stopped swinging and the music had a drunk-sounding tone. I thought maybe I just had faulty batteries. SO I bought a NEW 8-pack of D batteries (this swing takes 4). 1 week later, the swing did the same thing. Obviously not the batteries...either the swing drains them or just doesnt work properly. I have 3 kids, so returning it to the store is not as easy as it may seem. I've gone through $ of batteries in 2 months...nice.

Just like other reviews have said, and I will quote this, YES the motor is VERY lound on this swing and quite annoying. I can hear it from the other side of my house and it doesn't help when I am trying to get the 'needed' sleep that I need at night. Good luck, although this swing has a good 'appearance,' I think it will give you more problems than it is worth...PLUS you need a year's supply of batteries to get by for a mear 4 months..

I've been using this swing for 3 1/2 months now and I love it. My daughter loves to take naps in it ever since we brought her home from the hospital.
I found I need to keep a close eye on her as she wiggles and gets herself in some unsafe positions. But I think that's true with anything when you have a baby.

This swing has proven itself to be sturdy too. My oldest baby has gotten into the swing (when the baby is nursing) and it still works great.
We go through about 1 set of batteries a month and we use it everyday (and I mean EVERYDAY)!
We did go without power to the swing for a week (since we forgot to buy batteries). Now we know it's a must to have them in stock.

So cute and daughter loves it....BUT! The first 4 settings don't even move the swing (I have to put it on the 5th setting for it to even work) It goes thru batteries like there's no tomorrow. And it either makes a squeaking noise or a knocking noise when it's being used. If I still had the box I would return it.

This thing is a hazard waiting to happen. It should have a 5 point harness, especially for the sitting up position. My baby is only 15 pounds (5 months) and managed to hang over the side in the reclined position. It also should have come with an electric plug. It eats through batteries like crazy and it's so big you aren't going to be moving it from room to room often. If you use the mobile or the music on it the swing will slow down and almost completely stop. The cover can be taken off to wash, but it is a pain to do so.

This swing is adorable. My son is 7 weeks old and is so at peace when he is in it. He falls asleep in minutes for naps or just looks around with big eyes full of wonder. He even sleeps in it when it is not swinging.
I love that it changes directions. We use it for hours every day. We bought good batteries and they lasted 5 weeks. I do wish that the music did not turn off automatically. It only runs for about 15 minutes. I know some reviews are saying they have motor problems. I have noticed a slow down a few times but it corrected itself. A few tips: give the swing a push to get going so the motor doesn't have to work so hard to get up to speed. It also reduces the clicking noise. Also you only really need the first speed.
All things considered I would buy this for a friend or myself again in a heartbeat!

I love this swing and so does my newborn but we cannot turn it actually on yet because even on the lowest setting it swings way to hard and jerks her and her neck around. We have just been manually pushing it and im sure when she gets bigger it will be great!! Its super soft and cozy for her!!

didn't use it for a few months because baby (and Mom) wouldn't sleep well unless she was held, but now she loves it! and we love it. different sound settings are great

I looked at tons of swings and this looked so comfy I wanted one for me! But I got this for my son and from the day we brought him home, he loved it. He naps in it still at 4 months old, but at night sleeps in his crib no problem, but he will on nap in this swing! Love the music choices and does not waste up to many batteries.

My swing was also making the "clicking" sound and we changed the cheap batteries out and put in durcell and it has been fine ever since. I love this swing bc it is so soft and adorable....
