This swing is very soft and cute! My son is 4 weeks old and he sleeps in it every day. He doesn't really like to swing "yet", but you can play the mobile only with the music. He seems to like that. I'm hoping he will eventually like the swinging part of it. I noticed that some moms wrote that the swing is loud, but if you just give it a push it doesn't make any noises. The lowest swinging setting seems like it goes really fast, almost too fast. It may be to fast for my little guy right now. However, it was easy to assemble. I did it myself.

It was so easy to assemble, I did all by myself in 30 minutes. And my daughter loves it! I like all the sounds. (I like birds sound and night sound.) The day I received it I start to use it right away. Especially, it helps when we having dinner. Only problem is she fell asleep in the swing so a little bit hard to transfer her to her crib.

my daugter is 4 1/2 months and loves this swing sometimes it does make a sound when i first start it but all i do is give it a little push to get it caught up with the motor and i did invest in rechargeble batteries they saved me alot of money

I have a 20 month old and 4 month old twins and I used the Fisher-Price Cradle Swings with all of my kids. Honestly, I do not know how I would have survived without them! I have had friends that had other swings that their kids barely used, this will not be the case if you use this swing. Reason is that this swing is GREAT for baby to sleep in. My kids would not sleep unless they were "moving" or being rocked somehow for the first three months of their lives. If I put them in the crib, they would wake up in no time. In the swing, if they started to wake up (which was a lot less often because they were swinging anyway), I would just turn the cricket or bird music back on, and they would go right back to sleep! I actually used these swings to train my kids to sleep through the night! (I had them set up at the end of our bed instead of a bassinet.) My twins were sleeping through the night at 1 1/2 months old! I transitioned them to the crib at 3 months, and now they sleep through the night there too! (You have to make sure you don't wait too long to transition them, or they will become acustomed to always sleeping in the swing. My pediatrician said they don't form their sleep habits until about 4 months old.) I know these swings (and the batteries) are expensive, but to me it is well worth the money! I actually got the Little Lamb one for my baby shower and an older Nature's Touch Papasan one on Craig's List. These swings are in a class of their own...the best swings ever!

I am a first time mom at 39 years old. I am very patient and I am totally in love with my baby. He was born on time but was a small 6lbs. He got use to being held very fast. He would not sleep anywhere but in my arms until I got this swing!! I love it. He will sleep so long now I actually am ready to wake him up !! Thank goodness for Fisher-price my lil lamb! I got the matching bouncy seat also and it is great too!!

This swing is a lifesaver for us! My daughter would not let us put her down anywhere...the crib, bassinet, cradle, bouncer, etc. from the time she was born. She was born on time without any medical issues but just would not sleep unless someone was holding her. When she was 5 weeks old, and we had tried putting her in EVERYTHING we could think of (and we all were at our wits end from exhaustion), I remembered purchasing this swing. I put it together in about 10 minutes and prayed that she would be happy for even 5 minutes in its snuggly seat. As soon as I placed her in it and turned it on to swing side-to-side with the mobile on, she found the "other baby" in the mirror and lulled herself to sleep for almost 3 hours! This was the first time she had slept anywhere other than on someone's chest and the longest period of sleep she'd had ever. After two weeks of using the swing, she began sleeping for 5 hour stretches at night and four 2-3 hour naps during the day; at 11 weeks and 13.5 lbs, she now sleeps for 8+ hours each night and three 2+ hour naps each day in her swing.

Even though it uses batteries, we've only changed them twice in 2 months, and considering my daughter spends all of her sleeping time in it, I think the battery life is great (just give the swing a push in the beginning to get the motion started). Also, the clicking noise was a bit distracting in the beginning, but now we hardly notice it when we're getting our 8 hours of sleep at night; the rhythm is like an old antique ticking clock which helps all of us sleep well. My daughter was 8 lbs 7 oz when she was born, and there was no way for her to fall out of the seat when fastened in, so I’m curious about the comments where people said their babies fell out or slipped through the leg harness; maybe they had the seat in the sitting rather than reclining position and the harness way too loose? A friend of mine had a son born at 6 lbs, and he sat in the harness (that was snugged up to fit him) without any problem either.

Needless to say, this swing is a bit pricey, but getting a good night’s sleep is priceless when you have a new baby! We depend on this swing so much that we bought a second one yesterday to keep at her grandparents' house so we don't have to move it from house to house anymore.

I loved this swing in the store. It is so cute and when i got it home i was pleased as well until i figured out that it wouldnt swing, move the mobile and play music at the same time! what the heck? it would have been really nice if it would at least play the music! also the mobile kinda sqeaks! other than those things its a great swing. its very soft and comfortable for my little boy.

I received the Butterfly Garden Papasan for my baby shower and I was really excited, especially since it looks so adorable. Putting it together was easy and I couldn't wait to start using it. I started using this when my daughter was a month old, I was kind of scared putting her in it when she was a "real" newbor. She really likes the motion and it helps a lot when I need a place to set her down (in the living room). I have to say, the batteries don't last very long with this and it is a bit noisy - otherwise it's a nice addition.

This swing is great my son loves it and often sleeps in it at night because he sleeps so soundly. even when fussy he almost immediately calms down and watches the mobile or other surroundings. i bought this almost 2 weeks ago he's now almost 4 weeks old and still loves it. only draw back is theres no AC adapter but seems to do well as far as battery life

We bought this swing after 2 nights of NO sleep when my daughter was newborn. She hated being laid in the crib to sleep. This was an answer to prayer; she slept like an angel. We rarely had to turn it on, she simply loved how cozy it was.
We never had any problems with the motor running down and I still haven't had to change the batteries (8 months later!) The only complaint is that when I washed it on delicate, the brown silky material in one of the 'ears' frayed. Didn't keep it from doing its job though!
At 8 mos. old my daughter still enjoys it periodically and loves looking in the mirror and playing with the mobile and the tray toys.
