We bought this swing after 2 nights of NO sleep when my daughter was newborn. She hated being laid in the crib to sleep. This was an answer to prayer; she slept like an angel. We rarely had to turn it on, she simply loved how cozy it was.
We never had any problems with the motor running down and I still haven't had to change the batteries (8 months later!) The only complaint is that when I washed it on delicate, the brown silky material in one of the 'ears' frayed. Didn't keep it from doing its job though!
At 8 mos. old my daughter still enjoys it periodically and loves looking in the mirror and playing with the mobile and the tray toys.

I registered for this swing for my baby shower. Being this was my first child I wasn't sure what to look for. It's so cute and "wow" it has the option to swing in 2 different directions! If it swung in the direction shown in the picture it was fine, but when I turned it to swing the other way it would make an annoying creaking noise. The bar that attaches the swing is right behind babies head. I think I smacked his head 2 times in a few days. Who puts a steel bar behind/above a babies head? I assume the head padding can't be removed, I tried many times with no success. And when he grew taller every time he fell asleep in it his head would slump over onto his chest or shoulder because the padding was too bulky. It's not a swing you will be able to keep for a long time and get your moneys worth because it doesn't accomodate your baby as they grow. I had to get a new one after 2 months. The toys above are very light in color and not appealing at all. I think my son looked a few times and lost interest quickly. The only positive was that my son liked the music. Guess I was one of the lucky ones whose music and motor worked. Guess that's another plus.

My baby is one month old and loves sleeping in this. The noise is a bit loud but my baby likes it. It lulls him to sleep.

What a great swing -- this is by far the best swing that I researched and am so thankful that we received it for a shower gift! We love the fact that it can move in 3 different directions and that the mobile can move too! The sounds/music are great, the cushioning is super soft and I can't imagine anything that could make this swing better. I highly recommend it!

We thought this swing was the cat's "meow" ! It was wonderful- went two different directions, had a mobile that sang and moved, had a reflective mirror... it was our favorite gift... until about an hour ago.
A screw had come loose on the bucket seat and the whole seat flipped to one side with my son strapped in landing him face down with the seat strapped to his back!
It wasn't until today that I realized the whole seat is attached by ONE SCREW!!! How could I have missed that!!
BE CAREFUL!!! Tighten it as hard as you can and check it frequently!
I am putting in a complaint with Fisher Price when they open tomorrow!

My seven month old son still loves this swing and we have had it since he was born. The swing was extremely easy to put together, and we have never had a single problem with it. Now that he is much bigger and sitting up, we just tilted the seat up and he loves to sit up and swing and play with the toy tray while the rest of the family eats dinner. I will say that sometimes it is difficult getting him in and out with the large mobile (especially in the sitting up position), but it is worth it because he loved looking at himself in the mirror of the mobile when he was a younger baby. We plan on using this swing again for our next child and would even purchase it again if we had to.

This swing is worth every penney. My daughter loves this swing and so do I. I only wished it would come with an adaptor instead of having to use batteries and that it had a variety of songs. Other than that there isn't anything I would change. It is easy to wash and assemble.

This swing is cute, yes but hard to get child in and out while avoiding the huge mobile.

The padding is soft and my son slept peacefully as an infant in it, but as soon as they are big enough to sit up its junk.

Just not worth all the money, buy a cheap one, your kid doesn't know the difference anyway.

This swing is wonderful! My baby is colicky and I was going crazy until my mom bought us this swing. It has been a lifesaver! She loves sitting in it and staring at the animals and the mirror. And when she's tired, the side-to-side motion lulls her to sleep. Sometimes she prefers being in the swing to being held. I wish we had gotten it from Day 1. It makes my baby happy and has restored my sanity.

This swing is great. My 3 month old daughter has been using it from day 1 and sleeps better in it than anywhere else. When she sleeps in this swing, she can easily last for more than 4 hours--other places she barely lasts 45 minutes. She's even able to calm herself and put herself to sleep when I set her in it at night--without it I have to walk her around for a long time before she settles. She also tends to spit up a lot, but the incline of this swing is just right to help her digest a little better. The mirror is a nice feature too. Now that her vision is clearer she gets a big kick out of looking at herself and watching the mobile. The motor can be a little loud if the swing is out of sync, but this is easily fixed by manually pushing it until it falls into place (you can tell because it gets much quieter). The batteries lasted for 2 months strong on very frequent use, and I still got another 2 weeks out of them even though they were noticeably weak.
