I've researched swings for a long time, but I'm so glad I went for this one! Baby is only 3 weeks, but it's been a life saver, especially the first confusing nights when he only slept in his swing. I would recommend buying rechargeable batteries (that adds to the price of the swing, but it's cheaper than replacing them all the time), because they do go fast, like most swings. When we put cheap batteries in it, it doesn't seem to swing on the lower settings, so skip the dollar packs of 4D batteries and splurge on Energizers or rechargealbes!!!. It might go fast for certain lighter babies (our chunky monkey was 10lbs 7oz), but you can have a blanket or towel drag on the floor to slow it down. This is baby #5 for us, and thus swing #5 and by far the best. I did put 4 stars because of the batterie operation, I don't understand why they just don't make them all with the a/c adapter like the rainforest? But the comfort for baby is so much better than other swings, that I'm still happy to replace the batteries

I was unsure if we needed a swing but am so grateful we were given this as a shower gift. It is a great place to put my son while I take care of something quickly or for him to play or nap. Also, I was concerned about using a ton of batteries but we haven't had to change them in the 8 weeks we have been using it. I would really recommend this swing.

This swing is fantastic. It is so great for my 9 week old. He has been using everyday since he was born. He will usually take a morning or afternoon nap for 2 hours in it. My husband is even sold on it (and he thought it was useless to have a swing!)

I love this swing and havent really had any trouble with the motor. The only thing is i bought this for my son and it looks blue in all the pictures but its purple!! Other then that its a great swing.

My daughter loves this swing! She will sit and play with the activity tray or just stare at the mobile. She loves the side to side motion and has taken quite a few naps it. I recommend this to all parents! The only downfall is the batteries wear out too quickly, but other than that it is a life saver!

My daughter loves this swing - awake or asleep. It's the best baby swing I've had, and this is my third child. In the other reviews, I read concerns about the speed and the lack of a 5 point harness. Honestly, these are not worries for me. The speed might be intimidating to a first time worried parent, but my baby is soothed by it. As to the harness, the one in this swing works fine for my daughter, even when she squirms. I don't find this swing particularly noisy.

All in all, it's a wonderful product. My daughter is comfortable and happy in it and I am confident that she's safe.

I love this swing . . . I love that it can go side to side since that is how I would sway w/ my daughter in those early days :-)

But now, I plop her in and she is out in it for her morning nap . . . and since it reclines back to a cradle her head doesn't fall to the side or forward.

Worth the price!

This swing was an absolute lifesaver! My daughter loved the side to side swinging option and at times it was the only way we could get her to sleep. I love the shape too because she was very secure and comfortable. When she got older, she also loved the music, mirror and mobile. It has everything! This swing may be priced a bit higher than others, but it is worth it!

My four-month-old still likes to be in this swing--he is still entertained by the music and twirlies. My only complaint is that the swing has started to creak with every swinging motion as he has gotten heavier (he is 16 lbs.) We are on our 3rd set of batteries, which isn't bad considering he slept in it every night for his first two months. I would recommend this swing.

This swing is good for YOUNG babies. My daughter loved it when she was a newborn till about maybe a month and a half and then she was bored and cried everytime she was put in it. The toys at the top make them bend their head upwards and strain to see the toys. If you use the swing with the mobile and music you will go through a new set of batteries every 2 days. I thought my daughter just didn't like swings until I picked up a Graco Pooh swing that had the toys hanging in front of her on a bar and she LOVES it. It's nothing fancy and I wish we would have bought this one to begin with! Also, this swing lays back so much even in the upright position that my daughter always tried to sit up and would be upset when she couldn't. So buy this swing if you only want to get a month or two's use out of it.
