I bought this by accident. I was looking for something to help my 1 month old get to sleep. I was doing some research about swings and before I knew it I had clicked all the way through the check out process. About a week later, and just in time my swing arrived and my daughter has been sleeping through the night ever since. The motor was a little annoying at first and I thought she'd never sleep though it but the rhythmic sound of the motor and the motion of the swing combined makes for a very soothing ride for my daughter. She is now 4 months old, still sleeping though the night, even with reflux! The option to sit the baby up and swing from side to side or front to back really helps. My older daughter likes the sounds of the crickets at night and that helps her sleep as well, so this swing has helped both my daughters sleep well at night and for naps. The harness is perfect, even with all the wiggles and squiggles from a reflux baby my daughter is safe. In fact I'd worry she'd strangle herself with a 5pt harness. The was the best accidental purchase I have ever made!

i was thrilled to recieve this swing at my baby shower i had another one for my daughter but it went only one direction and i loved the fact that this one went side to side.
put my son it it and he was going side to side i went to change the laundry to the dryer and returned seeing him hanging by his feet. The harness only goes around his tummy and between his legs. he is 13lbs and just slid right out . so we changed the direction and a couple days later had him going front to back - again i was doing some things heard a loud noise and there he was out of the swing. he is 7 weeks old. there needs to definitly be shoulder straps on this.
I also hate the constant clicking sound it is so loud - louder than the music that plays. I dont recommed this at all!!!

Our son loves to look in the mirror and watch the mobile. Its soft and puts him to sleep or calms him down. We dont use the tray as it's akward to put him in and out with that. Our first one we got as a gift was damaged and we had to order another one, but it was fine.

I have had this swing for 4 mths now and love it. It was the only thing that kept my baby happy the first 3 mths now he's a little more interested at what's going on around him but still likes taking naps in it. I have only changed the batteries in it twice and he used it a lot just buy duracell or energizer and they will last very long. Also make sure to seperate the legs enough or it will swing from side to side when on. I read reviews that complained about that. I do wish it had the option of being plugged in don't know why Fisher Price does it with similiar swings and not with this one, other than that I have no complaints my baby loves it and that's all that matters.

I fell in love with this the first time I saw it. Luckily my friend got it for me for my babyshower. I set it up checked it out and it worked great! But once my baby came and I started to use it, all these problems arose. The swing rocks... like the WHOLE swing! And it has a ticking noise.. which I was warned about by somone else that has a papsan swing but I figured it would be fine. Which it was, my baby didn't even notice it. But after about 5 total hours of use the music started sounding warped. And then the music stopped all together! And then the mobile stopped! And now all my baby can do is swing in a super expensive cute swing... I called Mattell and they are sending me a replacment motor but it sucks to spend all this money on this swing and have to do that. I would just buy a regular swing. My baby has one at her grandmas and loves it just as much. That one is very cheap, and it takes up less space and no where near as noisey as this one!

My son loved this swing until the motor stopped working after just 2 months of having it. It was very expensive and I thought we were going to have it fo awhile but my husband and I had to purchase another swing...hope this one works longer.

THIS WAS THE BEST THING THAT WE GOT FOR OUR SON. HE PLAYS IN IT, SLEEPS IN IT, AND IT ALWAYS WORKS BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE WHEN HE'S FUSSY! IT'S HIS FAVORITE! ALSO AS HE GROWS HE LOVES IT EVEN MORE! VERY ENTERTAINING FOR HIM AND COMFORTABLE. OUR SON WAS A PREMIE AND TINY AND HE EVEN LOVED IT WHEN HE WAS FIRST HOME. HE BARELY FIT AND SLEPT A LOT BUT LOVED IT THEN AND STILL LOVES IT NOW!!! I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS SWING!

.... this swing looks nice and the price makes you think it will be nice but!!!!!!
the mobile didnt work when I got it! a lot of hassel later i had to contact the manufacturer because targets stupid policy!!
they shipped me a new motor head right away with no problems but COME ON!! It should work brand new and shame on Target for giving me the run around!
My son is 3 1/2 months old now and the batteries died today. He was too small for it the first month so that sucked too!
we used it for 2 1/2 months on the first set of batteries... pretty good.
He is very comfy in it now but he is already 16 lbs and it only works up to 20 lbs
the seat is loose too..... check out the one in the store if you can and you will see this problem. it jerks everytime it sways from one side to the next.

I registered for this swing because I thought it looked cute. I'm so glad I did. It is a lifesaver! My daughter is 2 months now and as I am writing this she has been asleep in it for almost 3 hours!! When she was first born she always had to be held. The only time I could put her down was in this swing. I think it worked for us because it sinks down and kind of fits to her like she is being held. At first she only liked it when it was standing still and would only stay in it for maybe 20-30 minutes. Which is still amazing for a fussy newborn. Then gradually she liked it swinging and with the music or waterfall sound on. Now I put her in it about 2 or 3 time a day anywhere form 30 min. to 2-3 hours. She likes it to sleep in rocking. And when she is awake she loves looking up at the mobile and mirror and smiles and coos at herself. My house, clothes, and hair would be a disaster without it!!! :)

My son loves this swing! I like that it can swing side to side or front to back. It has several different music modes and can activate the mobile and music without swinging.... plus the legs can move into a storage position allowing us to put it in a closet if we want to. My son sleeps well in this and seems very comfortable. With a small infant, dragging a blanket from the seat is essential...otherwise it swings a bit fast. I found it surprising that this was in the instruction manual! But it works.
