I bought this about a month back. I used it in low setting for a while, which I found it to be louder than the one I had before. I felt it was not putting out enough mist as water level seem to go down very slow. When the temperature went down outside and my central heater started working hard making the air drier I had to put in on high. It was so loud that I had to take it outside (my bedroom) and bring in my 3 year old humidifier (other brand) which now seemed so much quieter. Next morning I saw that it was already broken. I am taking it back today!

We bought this in the fall of 2006 and have been very pleased with it. It's easy to operate and easy to clean. If you clean it weekly as the instructions suggest the filter seems to last a long time! This is a great product for the price. We used it all last fall and winter and have been using it again this year for the last couple of months. We love it!

I bought this Tuesday Oct 23rd (today is Friday Oct 26th) so I am not 100% sure I'm loving this - that's why I'm trying to be neutral and only gave it 3 stars. First thing I have to say is when I put the part that holds the water on the base and moved it ever so slightly, water started POURING out of the base. Second, there is only low, high and off settings. Low is great, barely a whisper of noise. High, on the other hand, is pretty darn loud. Last thing, about every 1/2 hour or so it makes a weird, almost gurgling type noise, like it's dropping more water which makes me panic and think it's spilling water again. So far I am not impressed, but I'm going to give it another few days before I consider returning it and the replacement filters I bought.

I purchased this humidifer about 7 months ago. I have used it fairly regularly, following all the cleaning instructions. However, this month, I was very disappointed to find mold growing in the motor. I contacted the company, and they told me how to dry out the mold - pretty much by purchasing another product to fix it. I just had a newborn baby and have a 20 month old, so instead of trying to fix it, I think I'll just get another humidifier... but not another one of this type. On the positive side, the humidifier definately helped put moisture into the air overnight, and when I wasn't using it, I could tell a difference in our room. We do tend to go through the filters, too, though. Overall, I would not recommend this product and would not purchase it again.

Maybe I was expecting too much when reading the reviews of this humidifier. It is quiet which is a big plus. I also found the size as a positive. It goes through water so I know it is putting some moisture out there but I just don't feel it is very effective. As mentioned before in an review, it seems like it is just blowing cool air, as opposed to cool MOIST air. But that said I do like like to sleep with it but have to face the unit to feel like it helps my stuffy nose. The filters do not last long in my experience. It is an OK cool mist humidifier. A great one seems impossible to find.

I have two of these humidifiers and I have replaced the filter in each of them two times in less than three months. I had to go to three different stores to find the replacement filter and have certainly spent more money in filters than I paid for this product. I love the humidifiers when the filters are brand new but after about two weeks the "extended life" filters are brown and smell like mildew. YUCK!

I purchased this humidifier approximately 3 months ago and I love it. I suffer from sinus problems, especially in the winter months, and this humidifier definitely added moisture to dry air. I now wake up feeling much better and recommed this humidifier to sinus/allergy sufferers. The humidifier is small and compact and doesn't make the "dripping" sound that other humidifiers do. It does have a bit of a background noise, but nothing that would keep you awak at night. It also has 2 adjustable settings; however, I tend to keep it on the high setting. After much debating on which humidifier to purchase, I'm happy with my choice!

We've had this humidifier for just over a week now and have not had any problems with leaks like other reviewers have. I just make sure that the sealing o-ring is in place and clear of any water or dirt before replacing the cap and check for leaks before taking it to the bedroom. I like that it is a mistless humidifier and have not had any problems with the floor below feeling wet.

I gave it 4 stars because it does make some noise when it's on the higher setting, but nothing that disrupts our sleep. The low setting is extremely quiet and you can't even hear it running. It has done wonders for the humidity level in our 300 sq ft bedroom. We do have to run it on the high setting throughout the night (the low setting may be better for a smaller room). I have to refill it every night before bed (we don't run it during the day) so I know that the water is making it into the air.

Since my original post in March, we've started using this humidifier in my daughter's room and we still haven't had any problems. We use it in the high setting and it gives enough white noise so she can sleep. We run it 24 hours a day and the tank needs to be refilled every 1.5 to 2 days for her room (which is about 1/2 the size of ours). I noticed when the filter needs to be changed, there is a noticable drop in humidity and the water level stops dropping. This has been worth every penny!

After reading the reviews of this model and a few other models, I opted to go with this particular model as it had the best reviews and was affordable.
We purchased this unit today from our local Target store and brought it home, read the instructions, set it up and what a difference it has made within the short amount of time we first plugged in the machine and turned it on.
I currently have a sinus infection and with the humidity being very low and having a dry-irritated nose, I have already noticed a difference and am already feeling so much better.
It is compact in sized, the noise the machine makes sounds like a standing floor fan (not very loud at all). Cool vapors (you cannot see) come out of this machine and really makes the room feel so much better and makes it much more easier for me to breathe.
This machine is easy to clean compared to a humidifier I had many years ago. This machine also comes with a filter and we also opted to buy a filter to have on hand to replace (every 2 months as suggested).
We highly recommend this machine to anyone who has problems breathing at night, sinus problems, congestion or would like to make the air in there home a bit more healthier.

We purchased two of these over a year ago- one for each child's bedroom. They are wonderful! The kids were so sick last year, over and over. This year, I got the humidifier out in November and have run them every single night. No one has been sick at all this year! They sit on top of their dressers...no chance of bumping them and I have never had one spill. I bought the humidifiers at Target, but they do not have the replacement filters. They are available other places [...].
