I have been getting nose bleeds for a couple weeks and didnt realize how dry my room was this winter until i plugged this in and had it running for a while. I also think it will be used this summer too, because it creates a pleasant cool atmosphere. The only problem was mine came with some damage to the plastic front plate (and it was the only one the store had), but it still works, so im not returning it.

We dragged this out after our 16m old was on his 4th or 5th nasty congested cold this winter. Since we've been running it during naps and nighttime sleeping - he has been cold free for 8 weeks. And the noise helps keep our household noise out of his room. I plan to get another one tomorrow for our 4 year old who is sick AGAIN! The only drawbacks are that the filter seems to discolor rather quickly, leading to frequent replacements (they are easy to find) and that in the start up, the fan is a little noisy.

We have owened this humidifier for 2 months and the motor is already burnt out. I should have known from the start to return it. It leaks because there is a hole at the bottom, so if you nudge the tank by accident it starts leaking. We figured out where that problem was so we tip-toe around it so we don't have that problem anymore. It also has 2 settings, one is way too low so hardly does anything and the other is way too loud and makes the room too cold for our baby in the winter months. I wish I could find a good humidifier, but there doesn't seem to be a competant one on the market.

My son had a bad cold with a croupy cough and stuffy nose that kept him up at night. The next day I got this humidifier out of storage and tried it out - fantastic! He slept better from that night onward. In fact, I slept in his room one night after he had a nightmare, and my breathing was easier, too (we had the same cold). I'm considering getting one for my own room now.

Works great. Just make sure it is on a level surface that wont be moved or touched by little ones. Makes for a great background noise for baby to sleep to as well.

There are some things that I liked about this product. It is nice having the low setting because it is quiet, but on the other hand it is not effective when on that setting. I also liked the compactness for easy storage. The thing that bothers me the most and the reason I am returning this product is the water leaks out the bottom very easily. If you even slightly bump or try to move the unit when it has water in it a very large leak begins. It soaked my carpet twice. I would have to totally disagree with the reviewers that gave this product a high recommendation.

I bought this 3yrs ago when my 4yr old got her first cold. I love that it doesn't create a fog and doesn't make all her bedding wet. This helps keep the mold and mildew down. It is also quite and allows my children to have a good nights sleep. I will be purchasing another one next time I go shopping. I recomend getting one for each child I now have a second child and when one gets sick the other does to. I also let it run during the winter months to add moisture to the air. It works. I have found that the filters are easy to find. I have found them in a couple different store and they run between $5 and $8 dollars. Again love it and I will soon own 2.

This product is awful. First of all, I scratched my hand up trying to get the cap off the tank. When I replaced and sealed the cap and put the tank into the motorized section, the water started pouring through the bottom and soaked my bedroom floor.

I'll be returning this thing tomorrow.

THis product is horrible - it did nothing but blow cold air. I tried it for two weeks and my baby was SO stuffy and the inside of my nose felt like it was lined with concrete. I ordered the elephant humidifier instead and am waiting for it to arrive!! Hopefully we'll get some relief from that one!

This humidifier works great! It is nice and sturdy, easy to fill and quiet on the low setting. The filters have been a bit hard to find, I found them on [another site].
