I love this corner bar unit!! It was easy to assemble and works well in the designated space. The bar has several compartments which we are able to utilize for extra space and showcase some of our top-shelf liquors and wine as well as one of our crystal wedding wine and decanter ensembles.

We also utilize some of the space to showcase some of our favorite memorabilia. Perfect bar, perfect color, perfect fit!!!

~ Challenging instructions
~ Time consuming assembly
~ Definitely a two-person job when you get to the part of assembling top to bottom
~ Additional tools needed for assembly
~ Glass shelf is still unassembled as it does not fit the holders
~ Accessory kit missing/Website not available/Contacted through phone number found on Google and was immediately sent new packet

I have assembled many pieces of 'do-it-yourself' furniture in the past two months. This was challenging but at the end of the day we are extremely pleased with this purchase!

received the bar quickly from target and assembled in about 2 hours including the time to separate everything. the instructions are a bit vague but since all of the parts and screws are numbered it isn't too bad.

Suggestions:
-you NEED extra tools (powerdrill with drillbit and screwdriver head, hammer)
-before you put anything together, separate all of the pieces by number, and separate all of the screws and fasteners into separate bags with their part number.
-use the glue included even though there is no mention in the instructions
-some holes need to be drilled for some of the screws


this is not recommended for people who haven't assembled furniture before. definitely harder than something from [another retailer] but easily manageable if you look through the instructions first and gain an understanding of how they are laid out.

As others have said, the instructions are terrible. Also, no use using the screwdriver provided - use a drill instead. Went together fairly easily by myself in under 2 hours - would have been quicker if the instructions were clearer. Be careful with the wooden dowels - some of them pressed the finish of the top up a little - a few hits with a rubber mallet smoothed it out pretty good.

Nice, beveled, smoked glass shelf, smoked sides & door.

As with others mine came in broken.. Bottom foot in the back was broken off and the glue package was busted open. Was able to clean up the glue and then used some strong gorilla glue to put the foot back on. The instructions sucked.. but after pulling out whats left of my hair I figured it out.
Really nice.. way too red colored though.. least for what I wanted.

Oh also I put a couple more coats of urethane on the top .. it looked too thin

We almost didn't buy this because of all the reviews stating it was too difficult to put together, but decided to anyway. We are so glad we bought this item. It is gorgous, fits perfectly in the room and is a beautiful, rich color. As for how difficult this was to put together, well my wife put this together completely by herself in under 2 hours.

I ordered the corner bar unit over the holidays and spent probably three days assembling the piece. It probably had the worst instructions I have ever seen. It took me three days because I became so frustrated that I would have to stop and start on another day. Once I did get the piece together, I honestly have to admit it looks pretty nice. I would still potentially have to think very hard if I was considering it for purchase again.
I also received an added bonus: a real Chinese screwdriver! The Chinese worker putting the components in the box left with this small gift for my troubles.

Indeed an attractive unit it is well designed for efficient use of space. It was not engineered for ease of assembly nor manufactured such that pieces fit well.

Unless you read Chinese there is very little English in the directions. I have assembled a number of furniture units; this was one of the more challenging. Should be a two person task and does require additional woodworking tools than included (comes with screwdriver).

My unit was missing one small plastic piece. The manufacturer service email to request the part bounced but Target quickly corrected the issue by sending another 74 lb unit, the only means available to assure getting the proper piece and matching their records.

The pieces are marked by number but my unit either was mis-marked or the assembly drawing was incorrect. Assemble carefully!
