Love this bookcase! December 4, 2008 Reviewer:  Carrie (Minneapolis, MN)  See all my reviews >

I bought this bookcase from a store and I absolutely love it! Carrying it into the house was a struggle but it's worth it to have each side a full panel. The instructions were fairly straight forward, however, one of the pictures was incorrect and I'm glad I caught it before I screwed anything together. Also, not all of the nails/screws went into the back panel cleanly, but once it's up, no one will notice. The thing I like best with the bookcase is how sturdy it is. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I bought four November 30, 2008 Reviewer:  Deborah Barber Real Name (blue dot in a red state)  See all my reviews >

I bought one, put it together by myself and we really liked it. Went back and bought all they had, so now I have four. They line up nicely since they do not have molding on the top sides that would keep them apart. I don't think they would do well to move them often, but we do not plan on moving them for a long time. The espresso color matches our piano nicely.
Assembly was rather fun, but I like doing that sort of thing. You only need a Phillips head screwdriver, floor space, and time. It takes about two to three hours. I left it a few times to feed horses, etc. and went back. Did one a day for four days.

Great for First Apartment November 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Empty Nester (Southwest Iowa)  See all my reviews >

We purchased this for our son's first apartment. My younger son and nephew put it together and had a couple minor problems, but you know guys . . . they don't like to read directions! It looks very nice in his living room with books, pictures and some of his childhood treasures displayed. For the price, I would buy another one.

Handsome bookshelves October 23, 2008 Reviewer:  D. L. Hurter "missmiavega" Real Name (St. Louis, MO)  See all my reviews >

I thought this book shelf was really nice for only the [price]. I have bought a lot worse quality for that price at Target and have been very dissapointed. Not today, it took me about an hour and half to put together by myself. There was a little trouble with the cam bolts, but it wasn't a big deal. I will be purchasing 2 more.

Agree...junk October 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Sam (Utah)  See all my reviews >

Can you give a rating of less than 1 star?? I should have listened to those that submitted a negative review. I had several broken pieces as well. Not easy to load the thing back up and return it to Target.

Not worth it! October 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Pat (USA)  See all my reviews >

This bookcase is terribly made. It looks like they pulled the pieces out of the junkyard. Pass!

Looks good, but has problems July 24, 2008 Reviewer:  dangerlucy See all my reviews >

I agree with many that once up, these look pretty decent. But I was upset with the quality of them. I purchased three to take up a significant portion of my living room wall. Each took me about two hours to put together. I couldn't do more than one a day because of how frustrated I was getting with the cam locks. One of them looked crooked when I set it up, but with the other two holding it up, it evens out. A few of them had some dings and scratches. Most are hidden.

Could be better quality parts, but looks pretty good nonetheless.

Missing Screws February 11, 2009 Reviewer:  isabeli (Beverly Hills)  See all my reviews >

I was disappointed to find that none of the screws were in the box - all of it missing. As though they forgot to put that huge bag of nuts, bolts, and screw in the package.

Target customer service was not helpful at all - unfortunately, the service center was out of the country. I tried my best to explain the situation, but the poor girl over the phone kept reading a script.

I was finally able to get the manufacturer's support center and hope they can get me a replacement.

There was a crack on one fo the side boards; easily hidden. Because it's too much of a hassle to try and box it up and return it back to Target. It is of cheap quality. But, looks decent enough. Yes.. something you would buy at another store would be a comparison.

Excellent Value, Easy Assembly February 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Dawn (Centreville, VA)  See all my reviews >

We bought this bookcase in our local Target store and couldn't be happier with our purchase. We paid [........] for the bookcase, but it looks like we paid a lot more. The construction is sturdy and it looks beautiful. Assembly was easy and we didn't have any problems putting it together. Definitely recommend this to anyone.

badly damaged January 25, 2009 Reviewer:  just me "unhappy customer" (baltimore, md)  See all my reviews >

I should have listened to the negative reviews I read. Several pieces were severely damaged, cracked, splintered, etc. when I removed them from the box. I returned it to the target store and the customer service manager had to open 3 more bookcase boxes before finding one that did not have damaged pieces--extremely bad sign!! When assembling the piece, there were several cam bolts damaged making them unusable. Some holes were not drilled all the way through or there at all--thank goodness I had a drill myself. I have assembled furniture from other stores and NEVER had this much trouble. My advice is to buy from one of those places instead!
