We purchased this item in July 2008 for our first child. We have had lots of issues with static and now it has suddenly stopped working (doesn't find a signal/hold a charge). We are so disappointed. Please spend your money on a different monitor, rather than need to replace it so soon!

I bought this monitor for my second childs room. I was very excited about the arm and wrist band. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but trouble with it. There is so much static we can't hear the baby (even when in the next room). The monitor beeps for no reason. It also turned off in the middle of the night while on the charger that was it for me. It's been unused since. I did notice someone else contacted Fisher-Price and got a new monitor. I will give that a shot. My first child's monitor was a First Steps (which I am using now).

Mine is called "Ready 2 Wear" not Iwear, but is the exact same monitor.
I originally registered for a $ monitor, because of it's small size and wearability. Then I found the Fisher Price Ready 2 Wear Monitor at TJMaxx for $. Bought it. Though no baby yet. I babysit a little baby, who takes naps. We live in a condo, one floor. This monitor is perfect for my needs. I can have the monitor on, while he naps, and I do the laundry, or work on the computer at the other end of the condo. So glad I didn't have to spend needless money.

I have had this monitor for almost two years, ITS GREAT. You can take it outside your house and do things while the baby sleeps. Its cool to have all the different ways to wear it. And since it clips you never lose it or lay it down somewhere and forget. We've never had static but I believe that has to due with where you live, same with cell phone signals. We still use it while our son naps inside during summer months.

I bought the monitor for my first child. The static makes it unbearable to even use. The monitor has a range of only about 5 ft. Any further distance will create an annoyance that you couldn't believe. It beeps for no reason and its makes you just want to throw it as far as possible. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ITEM.

We had the monitor for 9 months and it quit working. The reciever crackled all the time, and it really didn't work that well outside. Do not buy this one, its not worth the headache.

I have had this monitor for about 5 months now and I use it everyday. I love that the receiver is so small and can be clipped on my clothes, or I can use the arm band and strap it on my arm. I did have a problem with the original receiver acting up a little (beeping a lot for no reason) and I contacted Fisher Price about it. They were wonderful to deal with and sent me another receiver right away. The new one works perfectly, so I am guessing I just got a defective one. I rarely have any static. I also love that I can use it at night while it is charging on the charger. I think it is a great buy!

We bought this monitor for our fourth child this
year and it is HORRIBLE! There is sooo much static that we can't even hear the baby. And forget about taking it aroun the house with you or outside, it gets worse!
We feel buying it was a BIG mistake!
