I took my own temp three times and got three different readings ranging from 92.6 to 108! Honestly, the underarm thermometer they gave me at the hospital works fine, and it's not a hassle to take it under the arm. I returned this item.

This is a great thermometer! The first time that I don't have to fight a wiggly infant or toddler to take their temperature! It's "quick and painless", and easy to use. Even other digital thermometers take a few seconds, but this one seemed instantly, and it was even fun for the kids! I have to hide it from them!

This thermometer is a complete waste of money. I took my 6 month old's temperature 3 times right in a row and got 101.9, 97.5, and 100.2. I know that it wasn't my technique- I'm a nurse and take dozens of tympanic temperatures a day. I then tried it on myself and my husband and got similarly inconsistent results. This thermometer is trash and should not be relied upon.

This thermomter is horrible. I thought that it would be better than taking a rectal temp on my infant. Boy was I wrong. You can't get an accurate reading. I took her temperature when I could tell that she had a fever and it read 95.4, I took it two more times, and even read the directions several times, and never once did it even reach 98.6. I took her temp rectally and it was 101.9. Way off! Do not waste your money.

Don't buy...invest a more money into one that you can trust. I am a parent who freaks when my infant even seems to have a fever....I only trust Braun. A bit more money but worth every dime when your baby is sick in the middle of the night!

Biggest waste of money and time! This item should be taken off shelves worldwide. I thought my 8 mos. old had a fever, but according to this thermometer he was fine. A couple hours later he was burning up and had to be taken to the doctors. If I could I would sue I'm so mad right now!

Very inaccurate! It reads a different temp every time. Says she has a temp of 96, when taken rectally is was 101. This is a waste of money.

This is a terrible thermometer! It is inaccurate and is too large to even fit in an infant's ear. I would not reccomend this item.
