Great so far! April 7, 2007 Reviewer:  Angela S "Angela S" (Lock Haven, PA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this item yesterday and used it last night. I am four months pregnant and have had sinus and runny nose problems my entire pregnancy. I decided to buy this thinking it would help me now and we can use it in the baby's room. I used it only one night so far but I can't tell you how much of a lifesaver it was! No, you don't really see steam coming out of the machine but that doesn't mean it's not working. I definitely could tell the difference when I woke up with a non-stuffy nose and without a sore throat for once! Like I said, I've only used it one night, but so far it's been a fantastic product.

Taking it back March 22, 2007 Reviewer:  Shannon G. See all my reviews >

I thought it would be a good one with the Red Cross name on it. I was wrong. I didn't notice a difference in the room at all. I couldn't even feel a difference if I put my hand directly in front of it.

Works like it should February 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Love my baby "Mom" See all my reviews >

Over the years, we have lived in cold, dry climates that required a humidifier. I have purchased very expensive, high-quality humidifiers that come on and off intermittently, etc. Now that we have a baby, we got this cheaper one for her room that would run continuously. Nothing fancy but it does exactly what it should. We find that she sleeps better with the steady hum of the humidifier. Yes, it gives off a very fine mist - which is appropriate - of cold humidity. That's the point. Warm mist breeds bacteria and mold growth. I am an RN and cold mist is recommended. If you run the humidifier along with your heat during the winter, eventually the air molecules will become saturated with the extra moisture and it will make the room feel warmer. When you first put anything with a fan on it into a room, it will cool the air - that's why the others have commented on the cold air coming from it. It has nothing to do with THIS humidifier - all do the same thing. If the fan was less strong, it wouldn't push the moisture into the room to be helpful, but would rather cause the water to just pool around the humidifier instead of going out into the room. We've had this humidifier for a year and a half and have used it each time our baby has been sick. Works fabulously. Does not leak. Serves the intended purpose quite well. Only problem is that after using it for this long, I'd like to replace the filter and I don't see that Target sells one....

Wish I could do 0 Stars November 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Sarah G (Newberry, FL, US)  See all my reviews >

I have nosebleed issues in the winter when the air gets too dry. This stupid "humidifier" just adds more cold to the air in my house, no moisture!! Wish I'd read the stupid reviews....

Worked for me June 16, 2007 Reviewer:  Mom-to-be "Cathy" (Virginia, USA)  See all my reviews >

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have been having the worst time with stuffiness, sore throat, and trouble breathing. I dealt with it until I started snoring. After three nights of snoring, my husband slept on the couch. I decided I needed to try something. I figured I'd get a humidifier because I knew I would need one for the nursery. I almost didn't get this one because of the negative review, but when I looked at the Vick's ones, I decided that I wanted to try this one because it said it was for the nursery. I loved it. The first night I noticed a difference. I actually slept and felt good. I've been using it a few nights now and feel great. I know the one review said you couldn't feel the air coming out, but I could, so I don't know. I feel good about using it for my baby. The only I'm not thrilled about is that you have to order filter refills online, but I don't know how often I'll need to do that.

Good humidifier - filters on amazon or [...] December 20, 2008 Reviewer:  ResearchMom See all my reviews >

Despite the other review, we think this humidifier is pretty good. It doesn't make a lot of noise, just a quiet hum, which is good for kids who like white noise. It doesn't make the carpet wet like an older humidifier would but still does a good job adding moisture to the air. The filters are inexpensive ($ each) compared to other brands and can be found on other website, just like the manual says. (Don't people read anymore?) You can also get two packs on [..]. And the air is supposed to be cool, it is called a "cool" mist humidifier after all! This is supposed to be better for colds anyway and circulation of cool air in the room is also supposed to reduce sids. I am buying two more of these so we have one for every bedroom!

Cold Air, No Mist, but Found Replacement Filters December 7, 2008 Reviewer:  Streah "Diana" (Atwater, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

This is the first humidifier I've tried and I do not like it. My 2 month old son has a stuffy dry nose every morning and the doctor said to try a humidifier. His room is cold in the morning but doesn't feel any less dry than the rest of the house. I have heard people complaining about not having replacement filters but I found one at my Super Target. It's in an end-cap display with all the American Red Cross items. The UPC is 071463072217 for those who are looking. As for me, though, I will be returning this to the store and getting a Crane humidifier since the reviews look much more promising.

DITTO! February 27, 2008 Reviewer:  hondaf4i02 "JW" (Winston Salem, NC)  See all my reviews >

Mold and no "ease" of picking up a replacement filter! My son & his wife received as a gift, now we are going nuts trying to get a replacement filter. (We wanted it now, not after "ordering" one.)

Don't waste your MONEY! December 2, 2008 Reviewer:  MommyOfThree "Jessica R." (Indian Trail, NC)  See all my reviews >

First of all, the filter has to be replaced if you unplug it for longer than a week....okay, that's fine, but where in the world do you get replacement filters, online.....I need them now, so I will go buy a new humidifier. Waste of money! Oh, and then the freezing air that comes out of that thing. Please, do not register or purchase this product, you will regret it!

This does nothing but blow air. Do not waste your money! And of course I can't find my receipt and target is awful about returns.
