I purchased this for my daughter and she could not wait to get home to try it. You need to program the doll with your DVD remote. We have 3 DVD players and none of them worked with the doll. I called customer service and was told that only some DVD players are compatible. My daughter was crushed. Spare yourself the tears and do not buy unless you know it will work.

My 3 year old loves Fairytopia!! She is so in to all the Barbie movies!! When she saw this doll she just loved it instantly. I have never played the game that came with it, because we just never had the chance. The doll works perfectly! She loves to pretend with it!! This doll is a hit at our home! It is a GORGEOUS DOLL! The colors are BEAUTIFUL! This doll is perfect for any little girl who loves BARBIE!

I had to watch the DVD a couple of times to program it but once that was done, my daughter had a blast. I've set it to 2 DVD players now and feel like a pro.

The game is a little repetitive and one of the "games" is actually the same singing Bibble sequence found in the 'Mermaidia' extras. My daughter likes making the jewel light up when you move the doll (there's no off switch).

Our daughter loved the doll, but was disappointed it would not work with our DVD player. I should've just stuck with the regular butterfly Barbie doll that was MUCH prettier.

I bought this toy for my 4 year old daughter, as soon as she saw it she fell in love with it. You have to move the doll from side to side to play the game and once in a while it works but most of the time is does not. I did give it 4 stars for how much fun it is because when it works it is fun but when it doesn't work my daughter gets very upset.
