great for the price July 26, 2007 Reviewer:  Bellaire Mommy See all my reviews >

i'm a first time mom so i wanted to try out different bags to make sure we used the best one for milk storage. i love these bags cause they can store up to 6 ounces and they have two zipper seals. i haven't experienced any leaking. i plan to continue using them cause they are a great value for the price.

Loved 'em, Worked GREAT! July 24, 2007 Reviewer:  Ashley's Mom (IL)  See all my reviews >

I used these when I was breastfeeding my daughter and I absolutely LOVE them. I have never had any problems with leaking or the plastic becoming brittle when frozen. I always checked that they were sealed, but I never had problems sealing them. I loved how easy they were to fill, label, freeze, unfreeze, and pour into a bottle. I would buy them for any breastfeeding mother!

Too many leaked! July 22, 2007 Reviewer:  Denver Mom (Denver, CO USA)  See all my reviews >

We read the mixed reviews and felt the thicker plastic would be better, but boy, were we wrong! At least 7 out of every 10 bags leaked! we thought at first it was something we were doing and tried everything we could think of but nope, they all leaked! So we switched to gerber and never looked back! Out of the hundreds of bags used so far, we have only had 3 leaks! Yes, that's it, 3, so make the switch before you drive yourself crazy!

Too Risky for Me! July 20, 2007 Reviewer:  keen eye mom (Champaign, IL)  See all my reviews >

I am not pleased with these bags, containers really are best. If you do use these bags, check the seams of each bag before use in the refrigerator. Also, freezing the bags in an average side-by-side freezer has made the plastic brittle and crack. They tend to crack at the top, but have cracked in other places along the bags as well. I quit using them as this has happened a quite few times to me and the milk is too valuable to risk wasting any of it.

If you do use them, I recommend freezing them standing up, rather than laying them down flat. When thawing bags that have been lying flat, the separated fatty and watery milk tend to take longer to thaw and to reconstitute by hand once it's finally liquid again (especially if the bag is leaking and you're trying to preserve as much as possible).

Best I've tried July 13, 2007 Reviewer:  It's ok "JD" (Philadelphia, PA)  See all my reviews >

I've tried Medela and hated them b/c they were too small and only had one zip close as opposed to the two that the lansinoh have. I found that if you thaw them out in the fridge the day before you won't run into leakage problems. Not sure if this is an option for everyone, but it works best for me if i thaw out the day before. I never had a problem with leaks, and i store flat.

Love these bags July 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Happy Mom (Enfield, CT)  See all my reviews >

These bags are great. All others do not seal well or leak. I have use these bags for my first two children and plan on using them for my third. I never had a problem with them.

No Leaks Here! July 7, 2007 Reviewer:  Fiona Bessey-Bushnell "tnsconz" (VA USA)  See all my reviews >

I have found these bags to be the best ones out there. They are thicker mm of plastic, have a double seal and a separate area to write on to avoid ink contamination. In my opinion, they are also much easier to pour to/from than other brands.

I also appreciate how they lay flat for more space-efficient storage. They have held up very well in my deep freeze in arctic temperatures!

I have used approximately 900 bags (seriously) and I have had only 4 that leaked. While I was sorry to lose those bags, I consider 4/900 to be pretty impressive odds.

There are only 2 drawbacks to this product - they have limited availability (so far I have only found them in my area at Target) and they are more expensive than other brands. However, I will pay that price to store my "liquid gold"!

If you are continually having difficulty with leaking bags, make sure you are freezing no more than 6 ounces at a time. Even though it looks like it will hold more, the milk will expand in the freezer. Also, you may want to freeze smaller quantities of milk so that there is less waste. You want to ensure that your baby will drink all that you defrosted, rather than having to discard it. I found it helpful to freeze some amounts in larger quantities, like 4 or 6 ounces and then smaller "top off" amounts for 2 or 3 ounces. Smaller amounts also less time to thaw...although this means you will use more bags.

These bags leak July 3, 2007 Reviewer:  New Mom See all my reviews >

I initially thought these bags were great - easy to write on and store milk in the fridge. However, when I started taking the bags out of the freezer - over a month after buying several packages - I found that they leak when defrosting. This was the case with 4 out of 5 bags. I am really upset by the amount of breast milk I've had to waste. I do not recommend this product.

Buy these bags if you want leaky bags. June 29, 2007 Reviewer:  Furious Mom "KK" (Orange County, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

These bags are the worst! I stored my precious milk in these bags and kept them in deep freezer and didn't start using until a few months later. I used the gerber bags at first but thought they were too thin, so I switched to Lansinoh bags, it's the worst decision I have ever made. Everytime I thaw these bag I thred for leakage. I had to throw the leaked bags away completely because the milk is contaminated! Save the hassle and buy the gerber bags. Don't judge the bags by their looks!

my favorite and I have tried them all! June 13, 2007 Reviewer:  A. Gillen Real Name See all my reviews >

I LOVE this storage bag. I tried Medela- didnt like them because they were too small and took too long to warm up the milk in them. The gerber were way too thin and broke when opening the zippers. These bags are the perfect size, durable, have double aipper closures, freeze very well and are very durable. I wont buy another brand now!
