I can't believe there aren't any reviews for this yet! This little gadget is pretty much perfect. It's got a nice strong magnet to stick to your fridge, so it's always convenient. There's a safety cover, so you don't hurt yourself. But the key, is that it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I use this re-sealer on bags of frozen veggies, unfinished bags of cereal (especially during the humid summer months), and candy packages (so I don't eat the whole thing). It prevents freezer burn, stale-ness and wasting lots of plastic zipper bags. Pop some rechargeable batteries in there, and you've got a convenient way to decrease your environmental impact AND save money from wasted food! I've already given a bunch away as gifts (stocking stuffers), and I'm getting more for myself so I have them in reserve in case they take the product off the market. But I'm still using the original one I bought ages ago!

I thought that I got more than my moneys worth on this product. I read the reviews before I made my purchase and feel I got what I paid for.One review said that the magnets were'nt even strong enough to hold them to the fridge,which was true,BUT if you want a Cadillac don't expect to pay the same as you would for a Kia.I say it's money well spent if you need something small and handy and easy to store (thats why GOD put drawers in the base cabinets).Well worth the money also REAL HANDY on camping trips,cause they run for quite a long while on two AA batteries.

Ordered this based on the previous review.
This seals your bag using heat, if you squeeze down to firm, it cuts the bag, like using scissors. On the back of (example) a potato chip bag, where the center seam is, you have to go over it repeatedly, to get it to seal, IF you can get it to seal! It's quicker just to use a bag clip! As far as it staying on the frig, the magnet on the back is not strong enough, and I have to set it at an angle to get it to stay. I haven't tried it for storing food in the freezer. But so far I am NOT impressed with it.
