No leak! August 10, 2007 Reviewer:  Helen S. Lam Real Name See all my reviews >

I bought both the Foogo straw cup and this sippy cup. While the straw cup leaked continuously when tilted without the cap on, this sippy cup does not leak when tilted upside down!

The spout is relatively soft although not as soft as the spouts on the Nuby cups/bottles. The valve took some effort to remove for cleaning as there is an additional valve plate over the valve and the plastic pull is tough to grasp even with small fingers. However, it is doable and I may get better at pulling it just the right way.

This would a 5-star product if it had an easier valve set-up for cleaning and a cap to protect the spout from dirt when the kids drop it.

bummed! February 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Sara L. Kallies Real Name See all my reviews >

We bought this cup thinking it would be ideal for travel. However, our cup leaks every time we use it. So, instead of a travel convenience, it's been a big mess. I was disappointed to have spent $15 on a sippy cup that leaks.

NOT worth the money. June 23, 2008 Reviewer:  L. Connell "Lonz" Real Name (New York, NY)  See all my reviews >

I read the other reviews and thought I would try this, knowing that some people had complaints.

The Product DOES leak easily, and should not be labeled as leak proof. The products plastic areas have a very strong smell, and when I tasted the drink from the sippy spout, it had an altered plastic taste.

Overall I will not be using this on my child and I will NOT recommend this for ANY age.

I ALSO tried the FooGoo sport thermos with a straw and it did not leak, however the plastic smelled very strong and in turn, altered the taste of the drink quite signifigantly.

The themos food jar is great, 100% buy the thermos, NOT the beverage holders.

Mold growth!! June 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Michigan Mom (Lansing, MI)  See all my reviews >

I bought this cup to avoid BPA's in plastic cups. After having it a few months, I discovered mold in under the rubber rim. This part is not removable and impossible to clean, so mold growth is inevitable. The mold is hard to see because the stainless steel obscures your view. The only way to find it is with a fingernail. I am disgusted with this product, so please don't make the same mistake I made.

Not so great. May 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Milk Maker (San Luis Obispo, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

Wanting to avoid products containing BPA and thinking these would be wonderful for keeping milk cold, I bought 4 of these. I rinse them immediately after use and I tried hand washing them, but they took on a smell of sour milk that didn't seem to wash out. I started running them through the dishwasher to get the smell out and now they leak so badly that I just can't use them. Stored in a cooler in the upright position, they still leak liquids somehow. Then, when my son drinks from them, he ends up getting his shirt wet and complaining. What a waste of money. Stinky and leaky.

so disappointing! May 2, 2008 Reviewer:  C. Pendleton Real Name See all my reviews >

This cup leaks like crazy. We bought 2 and we don't even use them anymore. We tried everything, but they leak so much from the neck and the space between the nipple an cover that we can't use them at all.

waste of money June 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Craft Mommy (Munster, IN, USA)  See all my reviews >

I am very disappointed with this cup. While it does keep milk cool, I have not been able to get rid of the sour milk smell. I have scrubbed it over and over, allowed it to soak, and I store it without the cap on it, but the sour milk smell will not go away. As for the leakage, if the parts of the lid are fitted together tightly, it does not leak, but they don't snap into place and it is hard to get the tight fit. I am very diappointed with the amount of money I paid for this cup.

This got returned for all of the reasons the other reviewers mentioned. Save your money, don't buy this!

Smelly, and MOLD October 26, 2009 Reviewer:  LB Mommy (NY)  See all my reviews >

Mold spores visible in the rubber inset at the top of the cup. You cannot get rid of them, and it - as we discovered unfortunately a little too late - is the cause of a horrible smell that stays in the cup. I'm upset that we thought we were doing good for our kids buying a non-plastic cup, only to find it was a big waste of money!

Plastic Chemical taste and smell June 12, 2009 Reviewer:  Coral M. Schieve Real Name See all my reviews >

First, to address leaking complaints, mine is leak proof - I suppose this would require the adult clicking the leak guard in place (or reading the instructions for that matter). The design is a good idea, although: the lid and leak proof insert are plastic, and if you couldn't see it with your eyes, it would be very apparent to your nose and tongue. DO NOT BUY this cup. And please taste your child's beverages before making them drink from sippy cups. Scrubbed and soaked mine in vinegar, and it did not remove the smell or taste. A waste of money and a hazard to the person drinking from the cup.

Safe Sippy & Klean Kanteen make suitable sippy's - we have both ... am trying to obtain a refund for the thermos brand.
