I bought 2 of these for my house. The 1st one went for about a week before the mist output dropped to about half of what it was in the beginning. I cleaned it as per directions but no improvement. I opened the 2nd box to compare output between the 2 and the 2nd one would not turn on unless I held the button in. Bad switch. I'm taking them back for a refund and looking for a better solution to my dry air problem.

This cool humidifier produces cool mist that boosts great humidity in a room. It is safe to use and not as noisy as most of the humidifiers on the market. It does not need a filter so I do not need to buy special cartridges. I just need to be sure to use distilled water to fill up the 2-gallon tank. This would be the best humidifier for the person who wants to get over their allergies in a certain area.

this is a good humidifier.i have one that now makes noise.. after 5 years of use! still works but is now too noisy to have by my bed. so am getting a second one! will keep the first to use in the living room. has a nice opening for cleaning inside the tank. i have never had a leak problem with this model... some others tend to leak .. this one doesnt! and a great size tank! so you dont have to fill it as often as the smaller tanks. nice that it has an off and on switch as well as a dial to give you the amount of mist you want.

Highly reccommend - a few minor issues: the noise to alert you when it is out of water is high-pitched and doesn't shut itself off. Also, it is a little difficult to fill and put on the base, so if you would have an issue with lifting this you may want a smaller unit. However, the lack of a filter, the visible mist, and the run time overshadow all of the issues! I have tried TONS of humidifiers, I have serious allergy issues and this is my FAVORITE!!!

Our room was Gorillas in the Mist for a while and the thing got progressively louder and produced progressively less mist as time went on. It died in 13 months. One month out of warranty. Doh!
