Great quality! September 4, 2008 Reviewer:  Still Looking "Still Looking" (Central, USA)  See all my reviews >

Wow! This set is of a very good quality and has proven to be "just the thing" for our kitchen. It has added extra counter space for a smaller kitchen, as well as seating! The terra-cotta color tiles are very attractive! This set is a home run.

Do Yourself a favor... February 7, 2009 Reviewer:  Dougwyatt Real Name See all my reviews >

And as soon as you get this, go directly to the hardware store and buy better hardware. The table and stools are great, and this would warrant 5 stars from me, had it not been for the cheap bolts/screws. Halfway in, the tops would become completely stripped - and i couldnt screw in or screw out any further. I finally got the stripped ones out, went to the hardware store, bought some philips head screws of the same size, and did double the work in 1/4 of the time.

My table and stools are georgous, and are just what I was looking for in the small space that I have.
Both table and stools are sturdy and solid.

Nice Breakfast Bar; Terrible Instructions August 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Kate (Fairfax, VA)  See all my reviews >

I have to agree with DougWyatt. The table is very heavy and sturdy and I would've given it 5 stars had it not been for the terrible directions and the half-completed materials.

First, the directions look like the writers time-traveled back to 1982, used a copier, and then came back to distribute the instructions. What's worse, someone actually erased or used white out to get rid of parts "E, F, G, H, and I" and then hand wrote the numbers "1, 2, 3, 4, and 5"... but only on the list of parts and not in the instructions part. So part "H" in the instructions is really part "4" on the hardware list. Parts A-D do not have pictures so you will have to deduce what each one is. (TIP: For those of us who do not assemble furniture professionally, an “apron” is really one of the smaller rectangular wood pieces.) They do not give you a number to call if you have questions about the instructions.

You will need to pre-drill the six holes that connect the tabletop to the frame because they are not there when you first get it. Be very careful to align the holes perfectly on the first try or else you could destroy your table. You will also need to go out and buy a very skinny, long phillips screwdriver. A regular one will not work.

Once you put it together -that is, if you can resist the urge to take a hammer to the whole thing first, then you will find that it is a very heavy and sturdy table. Looks really nice too.

To the manufacturer: Allow me to suggest random drug screenings for your employees. I don't know what they were doing when they decided to put those instructions with the set, but I'm pretty sure drugs were involved.

This breakfast bar and stools are very well made and we all love it. I am using it in the middle of my kitchen as an island too.

Perfect, perfect for my small kithcen October 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Love new stuff (Buffalo, NY, USA)  See all my reviews >

What a perfect little set. It's sturdy and solid and attractive. Love the ceramic tile counter top. But about those instructions.... It helps here if you have a natural aptitude for assembly. The instructions, in a cryptic version of the English language, are not very helpful. The illustrations (of the wood components and the hardware)are unclear and appear to have been copied and recopied thousands of times. After a few trials and errors I did manage to get everything facing the right way with no parts left over.

I recently bought this set in white, it is impossible to put together. I assemble most of my furniture for family and friends and this set does not line up the bolts are poorly designed and the set is not useable as sent. I had to recreate the stools by drilling and reassembling my own way because the holes, screws and braces didin't fit or work the way they were designed. Very dissappointing, never again!!!
