better than expected October 24, 2008 Reviewer:  New Mom (Michigan)  See all my reviews >

I just bought this from my local target. I have tried several different types of laundry sorters, with them all breaking within a few months. I finally decided to spend a little more money on one,and try it again. My problem with the other ones, is that the plastic pieces you push the metal tubes in, always seem to break. Well, this one doesnt come apart, so no plastic connectors to break. This laundry sorter is foldable, which may be nice. I also liked the canvas bages, instead of the nylon ones which always seem to tear. On the bottom and the top of each side, in the middle is a joint, to allow the sorter to fold up for storage. My consern is that the plastic piece that keeps it from folding, may eventually crack, and break off. The sorter does roll very well along the floors, even on my thick carpet. I filled it up, and rolled it on the tickest carpet in my home, it it rolled a lot better then I thought it would have. Even with a full load, the sorter does not sway to one side, or seem to have any weak spots in the construction. This is by far the best sorter I have found.

Ehhh. Spend your money elsewhere. April 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Geniusboy "I value intelligent design." (The US of A.)  See all my reviews >

Great idea and concept, unfortunately Michael Graves lacks the skills and knowledge to pick materials that can withstand the environment they are going to be in. The middle plastic "rung" split on mine leaving the entire units unsupported and utterly worthless. Being the boyscout I am, I zip tied dowels to the poles to keep it straight, a valid fix for those out there who want to repair their broken unit. In the end, there are some other products out there that can do a better job. Michael Graves, I'm sorry but you have been awarded the fail.

So Cute, Not So Sturdy February 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Happily Married (St. Louis)  See all my reviews >

I got this as a wedding gift this past October. It had a short life with just my husband and I. Before we knew it it was falling apart. It lasted a little bit but we did have to throw it out. It is not what I would consider something sturdy enough to last long.

Good for a few months August 1, 2009 Reviewer:  E. Smith "Target-frequent-shopper" Real Name (Hbg, Pa, USA)  See all my reviews >

I've been using this sorter for about a year and a hlaf now and it's held up pretty well. It rolls very easily and works great for our laundry room. The bags are easy to get off and wash, but the fabric and the cardboard insert in the bottom do mildew if you put damp towels or clothes in (which I have a lot). The bags hold a lot, but I must have overstuffed them because the center support of the cart broke and we had to duct tape it back together. It is still usable but the combo of the broken cart (making me worry I will overfill it) and the mildewed cardboard inserts probably means it's time to upgrade. I'm a little dissappointed because I thought it would last a while longer, but I used it hard an ddefinetely got my money's worth.

Cute for a kids' room July 20, 2009 Reviewer:  J. Carolan "jjinqueens" Real Name (USA)  See all my reviews >

Looks like it belongs in Little Boy Blue's bedroom - also the bags attach with velcro AND a button so you have to do 4 closures which honestly is a pain in the neck. Sturdy and easy to put together, but I wouldn't buy it again because of the closure thing. The velcro alone isn't enough to hold the bags on w/ clothes.

Works/looks great July 5, 2009 Reviewer:  Picky shopper (Clarksville, TN)  See all my reviews >

this sorter has worked great for our family of four - kids 10 and 4. the unit is sturdy, wheels roll easily and it looks good sitting in view in our bathroom. I am careful to avoid putting anything wet in the cloth bags of fear of mildew. Otherwise, no complaints.

Simply not tough enough March 11, 2009 Reviewer:  S. Krier Real Name See all my reviews >

I had high hopes that this laundry sorter was going to be a winner. I liked the design a lot (which looks great until you start to put clothes in - at which point the canvas pulls). I could live with it not looking perfect with laundry in it, but in the end the frame is simply not durable enough. Mine lasted perhaps 4 months, and had to be tossed.

Looks great but not worth it February 27, 2009 Reviewer:  D. Berry "taylees parents" Real Name (Miramar FL)  See all my reviews >

I love the look but overall in about 6 months and loads of laundry I am look for a replacement. The middle sunk of the sorter sunk in and it looks horrible now. If you have light laundry it might work out fine.

We love it! February 2, 2009 Reviewer:  K. Miller "Army Wife" Real Name (Fort Worth, TX USA)  See all my reviews >

I was a little leary about purchasing a laundry sorter that was [price] but my husband insisted we get it since it was the only one I really had found in all the stores I had liked and had also gotten great reviews. We had a plastic one from Walmart before that had every single corner snap and the entire thing collapse we had spent [price] on.
We got it home and he had it set up in ten minutes. The frame is very sturdy and the wheels glide with ease. The bags are a decent size, about the size of one load of laundry so it cannot pile up on you! It looks pretty much exactly like the photo. no complaints here. We recommend it!

I have become excited about doing laundry! November 21, 2009 Reviewer:  K. BRADFIELD Real Name (Arlington, Texas United States)  See all my reviews >

Laundry used to take me a whole day with piles of different colors in the hallway.
Now I sort as I go with this sorter.
If you wash as soon as it fills, then you shouldn't have a problem.

KEY:
DON'T over-stuff or push items in. When it gets full (without packing) - wash the clothes in that bag.

DON'T button the button if you remove the bags a lot. I just use the Velcro and that is enough. The button is unnecessary but makes it a bit stronger. Since I don't over-pack the bags, it hasn't been an issue.

DON'T put wet stuff in there.

DO keep the sorter in one place and remove the bags to carry to the washer. Other people have had trouble with the frame. Not me. I keep it at the end of our hallway and never push it around the house when it is full. I think pushing it around with the bags overfilled is probably their problem.

Do wash as soon as it's full. When a bag is full, I remove the bag, and pour it into the washing machine, then replace the bag- using only the Velcro.

So far so good!
