Bakes and broils ... but not for toasting!

I got this so because our oven wasn't working right, and I wanted to be able to broil things like cheesy bread. It worked great! Then I used it for baking some mozzarella sticks. It worked great! Then I make toast ...
Okay, now this is a TOASTER OVEN, and I can't make toast in it! Because of the convection feature, the air moves around so much that the toast dries out completely. If you are REALLY into making croutons instead of toast, then this is the oven for you! If you like toast ... well, you need a different appliance. Between that and the GIANT size of this thing, I have replaced it already after only a little over a month.

I shopped and compared over 10 units before buying this one. The temp control is extremely accurate. I have made cakes with the convection feature and was NOT concerned with uneven results. I have made casseroles, morning biscuits, even an apple cobbler. All with great results. The only problem I saw with this oven is the racks tip when pulled over 1/2 way out. The inside is large enough that the manufacterer should consider an interior light to help view while cooking. We use this oven daily on our boat at the lake. (we are live aboards) When you really consider it is only about 3 inches larger each way than a regular toaster oven, it really is a handy versatile tool for meal making.

I just used the convection oven, and the food did not cook evenly..to be fair, it may have been partly due to the brand name.
I did broil steaks last night, and those were good.
I don't like the fact that there are very few directions with the appliance.

Prepare the burn unit!!!

On the surface, it seemed quite nice with the rotisserie attachment and tray handle, not to mention the convection feature. Everything was going according to plan until I turned it on. The instruction manual suggests turning the temperature knob to toaster/broil and cook the insides for about fifteen minutes. I must say, I'm surprised our smoke detector didn't go crazy with the toxic fumes coming out of that thing. Heck, I almost had the fire extinguisher handy just in case. Remember the trick on how to burn someone twice with a match? Well, my first burn was when I bought this fire-box and the second burn occurred when I attempted to open the door. Yes, the smooth stainless steel handle looks innocent enough, but as your opening the door, the metal that's fastened on the top of the glass will get you like a rattlesnake in the grass. This unit shouldn't even get one star, but that's as low as I could go. If some of you are in to third degree burns and black lung, then this is the unit to buy!

i recived this as a gift i loved it till i started to use it the groves that the tray and the pan fit into don't go all the way from front to back so if you pull out the tray 1/2 way to check on cooking or to get things out easier the tray will tip either forward or back. i've burnt myself a few times. also the motor for the rotiserie runs when you turn on the oven and our makes this realllllllly bad screeching noise. I am hoping to return to the store but have all ready gotten rid of the box (since it was sooo big)

Great Toaster Oven for the Price!

My husband and I purchased this unit a year ago and have used it lots and lots since then with no real issues. We liked it so much we purchased two for our family members this year! Upon reading some of the other reviews I noticed some things I wanted to address. We haven’t had any trouble with the correct temperature for the correct amount of time issue mentioned. Because it is a smaller unit than a conventional oven, if you are constantly opening the oven to check on things the unit will loose a little heat each time. It would be nice to have a light in it though to check on what’s cooking. The semi-awkward position of the racks when pulled out halfway because of the rotisserie takes a little getting used to. I just keep that in mind and keep a firm hold on the rack (using an oven mitt) if there is a heavy item on it. Next we know that the oven gets HOT and that even though the handle is not hot, the portion directly attached to the glass will be. The toaster oven is not as insulated as a conventional oven would be. I understand why they have the warning labels on the hair dryers asking you not to bath with them while they are plugged in after reading some of the reviews. I can however understand the issue of appliances not working like they used to. I do agree it’s become a quantity over quality world now. Overall we are very pleased and hope that our family members whom have all commented on how great ours looks likes them. We had also done a lot of research before buying it and for the price it’s fabulous. Good luck with you search for a toaster oven and hope this helps.

I don't like cooking or even heating food in the microwave, so I bought this little oven for making pizzas and re-heating left-overs. It has worked really well for that purpose, and I like it a lot. I hate it when you reheat fried foods in the micro and they come out soggy, but this oven makes them nice and crispy again. Mine also makes the screeching noise another reviewer mentioned, but it doesn't really bother me. I have also noticed that the trays tip back when pulled halfway out, but now that I know it I just hold on to the tray as I pull it out and-- no problem. Overall I would recommend this oven to anyone looking for one, it has been a little champ and has done a great job for me.

I bought this to replace an old, ugly one. The old one cooked better after 10 years than this one does new. The temperature is supposed to go up to 450 on this model, but I don't think it's right. I have to cook everything at 450 on this thing, and even doing that it takes more than twice the time to cook as it should, so I don't think there's any energy savings over using a regular oven.
The racks are not easy to maneuver in and out, and you can't really put them in a good position (either too close to the top or too close to the bottom). I haven't tried the rotisserie feature, because I don't believe it would work very well.
On the plus side, it looks nice, and it's easy to clean. I would not buy this model again, though.

The oven does not cook evenly, items in the back of the oven get done first, so rotate what ever you're cooking about 1/2 way through. I don't even bother using bake anymore because every time I tried it would burn the bottom of whatever I was making. Instead use the toaster setting, which seems to work just fine. I haven't put a thermometer in it to see if the temps are accurate, but I suspect not. The unit does get really hot on the outside, so make sure you have enough counter space to give it room to breath. The rotisserie works great, just make sure that whatever your cooking is on it evenly or it will skip a section due to the weight. And one final downside is that the rotisserie turns no matter what your doing even without a stick in it and while it's turning is makes a squeaking noise. We bought it to get us through until we could afford a new oven and overall I don't hate it, but don't love it either.

Big, Not Too Hot, but OK

I compared this to the Oster which is also on sale and decided this was much better. This one is some 3 inches taller but does have the rotesserie (I'll probably never use). The interior of the Oster looked cheap and hard to clean. This one has the continuous clean interior. Plus it's all stainless and the racks etc. are much more durable.
I was surprised how it doesn't get as hot as claimed and pizza takes twice as long as normal. Toast is slow too. The convection will probably be nice as long as it can be turned off- convection will dry out a lot of foods.
