I previously owned some single color Thomas O'Brien towels which I liked a lot. Those towels were very thick, absorbent, and did not shed lint. The older towels I had seemed to have a different kind of loop in them than my newer towels do.

These towels look very nice, with the two tone color pattern. I like the dark brown with the light blue. I like the reversible colors, primarily dark brown with light blue accents on one side, the reverse colors on the other.

However, these towels are not very absorbent. But what I really dislike about these towels is that even now, after three or four washings, they still shed lint. So this morning after I showered and dried off my face, I had light blue lint pieces hanging onto my face. Maybe it is more of a problem because I am a man and I didn't shave today. But nonetheless, I don't want my towels to do that. The older Thomas O'Brien towels did not seem to do that at all.

So I am not going to lose any sleep over these towels, but I probably would not buy them again.

I bought these towels to go with new bedding in my master bedroom (finding the right color chocolate and blue towels isn't easy.) They felt soft and thick in the store, but after washing and then using them, I am completely dissatisfied. They snag horribly, they are not absorbant at all and even after washing them twice, they lint everywhere (impossible to dry my hands and put my contacts in). I had to clean out the lint filter both times mid-dry because it was overflowing and I didn't want my dryer to burn up!
I am taking them back to Target today in hopes they will stand behind their product even though I have used and washed them. I will definitely write another review to say whether they took them back or not.

These towels look and feel great, but they are not durable at all. We've had them for about six months now and really regret the purchase. Even after dozens of washings they still leave lint all over you. Each time they come out of the wash we have to deal with pulled threads. Not just little pulls, I'm talking about a 10-inch section of thread that has to be tied down and cut off, leaving behind a little nub and a blue streak in the pattern. I'm actually embarrassed to put these towels out for company. These would work okay as decorative towels in a guest bathroom but they just can't stand up to daily use.

I washed my towells and they all changed colors. I purchased both choc and the green. when washed the color faded out. Spoke with CS and they mentioned they have had this problem before. They are nice for looks and soft big towels. But ruined after washed.

These towels are [garbage]! I never even used them because they got totally wrecked the first time I washed them. They were covered in lint and the thread was coming out in several places. I even tumble dried on low. I'm going back to get different ones because although these look great, they were not durable.

I love this collection. The towels are plush, large, and very durable. I have purchased 3 different collections, and have had no problems with any of them. I've seen the reviews that list problems with color fading and quality, however I have never experienced any of those problems - even after repeated washing (on regular cycles, warm or cold settings, and using Tide...nothing special!), I have yet to experience any color fading or unraveling - these towels are as plush today as they were the day I bought them. I am 100% satisfied with the towels, bathmat, shower curtains etc from this collection and would definitely recommend them.

After three months of daily use and dozens of trips through the laundry, my towels are still shedding lint on to everything. I'm looking for replacement towels right now; I'm sure I'll be able to find some that are cheaper and less linty.

As far as any issue with washing these towels, I have had none. They have not faded at all (cold water/Tide detergent) and do not leave lint behind when drying off....the only complaint I do have is that I do agree that they snag very easy. Each of my towels have at minimum 5 snags on each....of which I just clip off. But overall I have been happy with these towels. I love how soft they are!!
