I have had this camera for a year and it decided to freeze and die on christmas day. No signs at all that it was going to break. (I actually bought it because it is purple. Silly Silly girl !!!!)Don't waste your hard earned money on this or any other polaroid product as I also own a digital picture frame made by polaroid and that lasted almost a year.

The only reason why I didn't give this camera 1 star is because I have been using it for a year now (only because I couldn't afford a more expensive one). My husband bought this for me right before our first son was born. Honestly, he only bought it because it was pink, so he says. It goes thru batteries INCREDIBLY fast. The image quality isn't very good. Its killed me so many times because taking pictures at this stage in my son's life is SO important to me. Every once in awhile one will turn out okay (but it has to be outside with the just right amount of sunlight). Also my lens has trouble closing all the way? It takes SO long to take pictures. I've missed out on so many cute moments :( The flash takes awhile to kick in & the adorable smile is gone. It takes awhile to start up... I could list so many things. Spend just few more dollars & get a another brand . I'm currently saving up for an SLR. This camera is just trash

Well, it did work for one year. Just now the lens jammed. Shame on Polaroid.

THIS CAMERA TAKES BEAUTIFUL PICTURES BUT THE LENSE FREEZES AND ONCE THAT OCCURES YOU CAN NO LONGER USE THE CAMERA. I RECOMMEND RECHARGABLE BATTERIES, THEY LAST LONGER. I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAMERA A LITTLE OVER 4 MONTHS. THAT [STINKS]!!!!

All of the other reviews were horrible, but I have never had a problem with this camera. I've owned this camera for 8 months and only had to change the batteries once. The key is to use lithium batteries that are designed for digital cameras. Of course if you're on vacation using it a lot (constantly turning it on and off) it will probably go through them faster, so bring an extra set. The picture quality is pretty good, just check your settings. My pictures haven't come out blurry at all. I have 2 other digital cameras and bought this one because it was a good price, I can carry it around with me, and the LCD is one of the largest I've found. All in all I think for the price it's a good value.

I bought this for my daughter who liked it for about 10 days until the camera froze with the lends stuck open. I sent it to Polaroid under warranty repair and they send me a new one. Guess what? The same thing happened. I sent it back and they replaced it, again. They are discontinuing the model but won't admit there is a problem with the model.

Bought this camera for my daughter Christmas 2008. 8 months later it will not turn on. Screen flashes, it beeps then goes blank. Huge waste of money. AVOID!

I got this camera for my birthday last year, and I can't stand it anymore.

cons:
-the flash is too bright
-not using the lash will result in blurry pics
-you need to replace the batteries often
-buttons are hard to press

pros:
-cute color
-large LCD screen

i got the camera for my birthday last year it was my third digital camera. i liked the color but dont let that fool you it takes about five minutes to get a picture or the flash wont work or it starts turning off. it uses up batteries like no other i literally would have to change the batteries once or twice a day and i wasnt even using it that much. also when it dies the lense stays out and it wont turn on and off again so the lense will go in, this camera is a waste of money. there are many cameras that are a hundred dollars or lower that work way better than this.
