I just bought this steamer to clean my unfinished pergo floors. I have searched high and low to find a cleaner that leaves my floors looking clean without a dull residue from the harsh cleaning products. I have only used this a couple of times, and I think it is going to work Ok for me. Although my floors still are not as sparkling clean as I would like them to be - however there is about 4 years of harsh cleaning residue on the floors. So I am hoping with repeated use of the Shark Steam Mop, my floors will some day sparkle!! I agree with the other reviews that it does seem to be hard to push. My arm was very sore from having to pump it so hard to get a good steam. However, it seemed to have cleaned the floors pretty well - the pad was black when I was done. I guess there isn't an "easy" way to clean floors - and a little bit of work is going to be involved no matter how you clean your floors.

I purchased my Sharp Floor Steamer Cleaner believing I would have better looking floors and more time to do othe house hold tasks. My Euro Pro Shark Steam Mop lasted about 3 three months of use about once a week and now no longer works. Before I purchase another product for steam mopping, I will read the reviews. I get ouly a slight squirt of steam. I will never buy anouth at such high prices. I went out on a limb hoping this would help me do the floors and have more time for othe house work. Thank you Sharp Manufacturer for taking money I could have used on my family and trusting to much. I was really hoping to wirte a really great review, but the product stinks!!!

i think it works really well. it got the white tiles cleaner than ever before. i wish it had come with more pads, they get dirty quick.

I got this as a gift and I LOVE IT. unbelievable. My youngest son got very sick after crawling on my floor that I had cleaned with a "pine" cleaner. never again. so much safer, cleaner, and so easy. no heavy mop and buckets to lug around.

First of all, you MUST vacuum or sweep before using. I have been reading some of the reviews and can't help but wonder how you can you clean a hard surface floor (any method) without removing big spills, loose dirt/hair first?????? We have a large vinyl floor in our kitchen which gets very heavy traffic (3 kids and a dog). The floor is 20 years old and traps dirt, b/c the finish is pretty worn, so until we replace the floor, our only option is a "hands and knees" scrub once a week (with frequent wet mopping with just water every 2 days or so). I used the Shark Steam Mop for my weekly clean instead of the scrub, and yes I had to refill the tank twice, unplug the cord and move it to another outlet and go over high traffic areas a few times, but it sure did beat the weekly "hands and knees" scrub (which also requires rinsing SEVERAL times and yelling at the kids, husband and dog to stay off the floor till it dries)!

I have read some of the reviews, and I totally disagree with the negative ones. This mop is fantastic! It is ready in under 30 seconds. The cord is very long, and I love that the handle has to be pumped. I have 3 small children so I'll take my exercise where and when I can get it. Two birds, one stone. I used to use the Swiffer WetJet, and now the Shark has cleaned spots on my floor the Swiffer never got up completely. I get compliments all the time on how clean my floors are. I do recommend buying extra pads, because they get dirty so fast and are easily machine-washed. I really love this mop! The only complaint I would have and it isn't really a complaint, but the water reservoir could be bigger. It does have to be refilled often, but it's not that major.

Pros: Easy to figure out how to use, lightweight, cleans absolutely smooth tile floors
Cons: Cord is very short, mop STICKS to laminate, bumpy tile and wood floors. Mop does not clean anything but a smooth tile surface and does not pick up dirt, just pushes it around. Does not remove built up dirt out of grout lines. I just hated this after trying it 3 times to be sure. I'm donating it to St. Vinnie's and going back to the mop and bucket system. At least I know my floors are clean with them!

What a waste of [..]! It just pushes the dirt around and into the corners. The front of the pad is the only part that is dirty. Left streaks on hardwood floors and I don't even have hard water. VERY hard to push on all floor surfaces. The handle feels like it is going to break at any second. My sister has the H20 and I think I'm going to buy that one. It is made more sturdy and actually gets the whole pad evenly dirty, not just the front part. And her floors are almost dry when she is done mopping. Not impressed at all with the Shark. Returned it to Target within a week of buying it. I save all receipts just for that reason on items such as these. Don't waste your money.

We love our Shark steam mop. We've had it for several months and use it about once per week. It is nice to be able to sanitize our hardwood laminate floors as well as our tile floors. Other cleaners available for laminate wood floors do not sanitize. The steam makes me feel better about my little one walking around and playing in our floors. The only negative is that it falls over easily when propped up on the wall.

I love this mop- my house is all light colored laminate floors that show every bit of dirt- and this cleans them perfectly! As with any mop, you have to sweep well before hand to avoid pushing around dirt. I can tell that the construction is a little flimsy if you aren't careful with it- so buy locally in case of returns. Mine doesn't dry instantly like some claim, but leave it a few minutes and it's done, no streaks. One tip- I store mine on the wall on one of those wall mounts for brooms/rakes/etc. It folds back and hangs perfectly on my wall next to my broom. Great product!
