During the second time of use, the plastic where it snaps together broke. After contacting Shark to try and get a replacement, they are charging me [...] and I have to mail the whole thing back to them (and I am to pay the shipping charges too). I can't find my receipt or I would get a refund [...]. The middle of this product is made of plastic, and I can see this happening over and over again. Do not buy the Shark Product, go with a steamer more solid built.

I have an old victorian house with all wood floors. I have histrocially used swifter pads with decent results - but I go through a ton of the towels. So far this product has produced great results and is saving me money with the washable pads. It was worth the intial investment.

after going to multiple targets to try and find this mop instock, the 4th one i had success! Im glad i kept looking for it because it works great on my hardwood kitchen and entryway floor as well as the tile in our other rooms. Im over 8 months pregnant and its VERY light weight and easy to use... I love the fact that it is acutually sanitizing the floor with just water. No need to worry about the new baby and chemicals!!

I think this mop is great. We have not been able to get are kitchen floor or bath room floor clean and this steam mop did the job easy. It is light weigh and we have problems with health and it made it easy for us.

[...] I went from store to store [...] looking for the first choice I had in mind, [but]. since I cannot wait to order on line, I settled for my 2nd Choice, the Shark Steam Mop. Bought one and immediately used it when I got home with its easy assembly. Now here comes the real score, it works ok as long as you dont push it too hard or it will break or fall apart. Just use it gently as they say. But I still think this is a toy, an expensive toy for [the money]. Not within reach of the average family.
The price should only be [less].

I have a black tile floor which shows everything and it works but is not the best nor worth the $$. It does leave streaks. I found that it is better than a mop and bucket or a bucket and being on your hands and knees. The only way my floor looks really good is to steam it and then go back quickly before it dries and dry with a towel to prevent the streaks. I used both pads for my kitchen area. I am waiting for them to get out of the dryer so I can try it on my hardwood floors. Overall it is just okay...but I will probably keep it

I'd been wanting to try this mop since watching the infomercial. Bought it at Target because the cost was less and for easier return if needed. It doesn't glide effortless across the floor as the ads claim and the mop head doesn't swivel, making it difficult to get to those hard to reach places. The plastic handle is a little flimsy. I like the steam cleaning just because I hate using the mop/bucket combination, so I will probably return it and search for a higher quality steam mop.

I was initially excited about trying this steam mop. It was light weight and easy to use. After steam cleaning a small portion of my hardwood floor(floor was still damp) I wiped over it with a dry white paper towel. The paper towel revealed a lot of dirt that was left behind. Dirt that I would not have known was there if I didn't check with the paper towel. I was very disappointed. I will be returnung this item.

I purchased this floor cleaner because my infant son is starting to crawl and I wanted ultra clean floors. I admit that I was hesitant because I read both good and bad reviews. I was amazingly happy with the results. I have tile, hardwood and slate floors and the Shark works well on every surface. I didn't experience any of the problems that some other people found. There was no streaking on the floors like some had reported. I suspect that these people were cleaning with hard water. The power cord was plenty long and didn't get tangled any more than a regular vacuum would. It only holds 8 ounces of water at a time, but you will be surprised at how far that goes. I thought for sure that I would be refilling it constantly, but I can clean the floors in my whole house on a little under two tanks. The one negative thing that I will say about it is that the handle is a little weak, so you can't really apply too much pressure on it when cleaning. All in all, it's a great product for [the money]. My mom even bought one after she saw how well mine worked.

Bought it yesterday...the handle darn near broke, very flimsy. Not all that easy to glide across the floor. And c'mon...streaks? It's water for crying out loud!! Why would it leave streaks? My floor wasn't even THAT dirty. I was so horribly disappointed at the value for the money (or lack thereof) and the fact that I was thinking it would break after a couple uses, so I promptly returned it to Target and bought some of my Swiffer refills. I then cleaned with my Swiffer in attempt to clear up the streaks and I looked at the pad... holy cow...it was SOOOOOOO dirty. This was after I had "cleaned" my kitchen floor about TWICE with this supposed miracle cleaner the Shark Steam Mop. While the pad on the Shark was indeed dirty...it did NOT clean thoroughly or really at all. I think it just got surface dirt or something. Bad, bad, job. Do a test on your own floor people. Clean it with something else after and see if your floors are really clean from the Shark or not. I doubt it. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Shame on the Shark product line...nice thought, but do better next time!!
