:) love this thing! I have hard wood flooring throughout most of my house, with a dog and a baby now crawling I like to clean at least 3 times a week. This makes my floors sparkle. I sweep, use the steamer, and apply shine to the floors and they look brand new everytime. Surprising how much stuff was on the floor after looking at the cloth!

This product is terrific, it is amazing how much dirt was on our floors, even after using a Swiffer WetJet! I use distilled water with it and it leaves the floors clean and sanitized. The steam mop is GREAT with pets and even crawling babies since you are only using pure water and not any chemicals! The only con that I have with this product is that the water container is very small, I have to refill it after each room or twice with a very large room. I use this on both tile and engineered hardwood flooring.

If you follow the instructions, this mop is easy to operate and a good amount of steam comes out. I have only used bottled distilled water in it and have had great luck! Make sure you go over your floors with a broom first, just as you would with a normal mop. It is a little had to push, but it does help give you an arm work out! The one major negative is the short cord! I have to plug it in in several spots to clean the floors!

I can't speak for anyone with a larger home, but this steamer mop works quite nicely in my apartment (and probably will be good at my new condo). If you follow the instructions, this mop is easy to operate and a good amount of steam comes out. There may not be as much steam as the TV commercials show, but the mop does work, does steam, and does clean. In general, I recommend vacuuming the floor before you mop. I've always done this before using any mop, since mops can't pick up every single crumb and hair on their own (and I think it's unrealistic to expect them to). I use this mop on the linoleum and tile flooring in my older apartment; they get clean and look so much better when I use this mop. There is also not any sticky residue afterward, which can be hard to avoid when mopping traditionally. I love not having to lug around a bucket of water, too! I love the fact that the mopping pads are washable/re-useable. I'm not sure if this is a turn-off for some, but the pads seem to stain after a while. I'm okay with this, as long as the cleaning pad itself is clean. All in all, I would recommend this product for people who'd like to clean thoroughly without chemicals and are patient enough to learn a new way of mopping.

I picked this model because I could get it the same day in my local store, the deluxe unit online may be a better deal (comes with more pads - not sure if it has a bigger capacity too). I bought this because I have unsealed matte ceramic tile in my bathrooms and laundry room that despite regular cleaning looked like they were holding onto trapped dirt and just appeared dirty. The steam mop was easy to use, blasted the old dirt out and works great for the price and size. I plan to use it on all my hard floors and can safely say it did a very good job. It is NOT overly wet at all. Would recommend. Did not give it 5 stars because I expect a fancier, higher end steamer might be even more powerful, but for me under a big price made it affordable. Now I have clean looking tile!

I have been using a Swiffer for a few years now on my wood, natural tile, and linoleum. While the Swiffer does an OK job, this steam cleaner does 100% better on all of my floors. The steam mop actually left less water on the floor that dried very quickly- especially on the wood. I am trying to be more "green" and really like not having to buy and use cleaning solution and pads that get thrown away in the garbage. I'm so happy with this product! It is easy to push, the steam is automatic when you push forward (no handle to squeeze), it has a long cord, and the pads clean up easily. What more could you want?

I am one of those get on my hands and knees with a bucket weekly kind of floor cleaners. But I love using my Shark steam mop for quick cleanups inbetween. Occasionally it has done the trick so well that I was able to go 2 weeks without getting on the knees. Occasional hardened on dirt was a little hard to get off, but I doubt you would get that off easily with any mop (only easy on knees with bucket). It picks up 90% of the dirt. It is quick and easy. I would say it can be a little stiff to push but that improves as the pad gets wetter. I get it damp before attaching it. I would recommend it!

I have had the Shark for well over a yr. and find it indispensible--with 2 grandchildren always on the floor I want my tile floors to be clean AND sanitized,which the Shark does magnificently.I thought it wouldn't last because it is so lightweight but what a nice surprise--it's been fine and I do all the floors in my house 4rooms plus 2 bathrms. weekly.I go thru pads often cause they do lose their elasticity to stay on the machine after repeated washings but when this Shark "dies" I definitely will buy another.

This mop is great!!! I just purchased at Target on Friday. Couldn't wait to give it a try. What a surprise! A cleaner than clean floor... My tile is over 20 years old and in great shape. I baby it. The floor looks brand new!!! It's so shiny!!! No streaking, puddles, ect. Just buy local and give it a whirl.10% off when you open a Target charge. That's what I did.Enjoy!!!

I gave this product a barely so-so rating on Amazon but I do use it from time to time. Today, children, is the last time! I just attempted to tidy up the bathroom. I counted the number of swipes it took the shark to get up a toothpaste spill on the floor. 17! I could have bent over and done it in 2 with a tissue. There are plenty of good steamers on the market. Pay a little more and get one that's worth your while....bg
