After reading some of these reviews I was very skeptical. I have wood floors thoughout the house. Hard to push?? No way. It is so much easier than my vacuum cleaner. It steams off everything from the wood floors. If there is a stain or spot I just go over it slowly 3 or 4 times and it comes right up. Leaves the wood floors feeling like they have been sanititzed and nice shine. So easy & lightweight to use. Steam last a LOT longer than I thought it would since it holds very little water. I do wish the cord was longer but it heats up so fast it's really no big deal to just plug it in as I go around the house.

I couldn't wait to try this mop because I'm always dealing with sticky messes on my kitchen floor as well as dirt from shoes and the like. I had grown so tired of my Swiffer and getting on my hands and knees to clean my floors. I was so hoping the Shark Steam Mop would be the answer to my prayers. It wasn't. Not only is it terribly hard to push (I wore myself out!), it left my floors streaky and messier than before. I was so disappointed as I was so hopeful about this product. I packed it up and back it went to the store. I'm keeping my Swiffer as it does a ten times better job with half the effort.

Bought this Shark Steam Mop from the infomercial that claims a 100% money back guarantee. Took it out of the box and it worked for 10 minutes and then broke and flooded my floors. In those 10 minutes I tried to clean up, shall I say, some pet stains on my tile floor. It didn't work. When I sent it back I found their "100% money back guarantee" did not include shipping to or from so I am out [price]. Lesson learned: Don't buy from a TV ad, buy it locally to avoid the shipping charges and do not buy a Shark product.

I Love this mop! I have wood and tile floors, I vacuum first!
My mop is ready to go in thirty seconds! I bought extra pads, they are easy to wash, my floors are so clean, with no chemicals! Highly recommend this product!

I was never able to clean the floor without major streaking! But now I don't have to worry - it doesn't work at all after only 60 days

I was excited to buy this as it had some good reviews and I could clean my laminate floors that my baby crawls across. It never created steam, and in an attempt to get the hot water out by the recommended method of pumping the handle at a 45 degree angle, the cheap handle snapped in half. I am returning it immediately as a defective product. I also had a Vacuum that broke down after 3 months. I will not ever purchase from this brand again!

I had recently installed very dark laminate flooring in my great room and wanted something that would remove the smudge marks left by my two small children, dog and everyone else that came in went in our house. I have a policy of no outdoor shoes in the house to try to minimize the amount of dirt that actually gets on the floor. After just using for a few minutes, the pad began leaving streaks. I checked the pad to see if it was overly soiled and it wasn't. I changed to the second pad to make sure it wasn't a problem with the first pad and it left the same mess. It left a residue that you would associate with using a soiled mop. I used my Swiffer wet jet after the steamed areas had dried and it was able to remove the residue. I will be returning this mop. I was very disappointed because the idea of a more environmentally friendly cleaning supply really appealed to me. I hate having to throw away a mopping pad everytime I mop and I'd rather not use any cleaning chemicals in my house. I saw that many people mentioned that it worked well on tiled floors and I did not try it on those so perhaps that is what it was more suited for.

I was super excited to buy the steam mop. I read the reviews and for the most part, they were positive. I felt that the negative reviews seemed exaggerated, so I bought the mop any way. I had my husband put it together and off I went happily mopping my floor. I didn't even get through one room and the mop stopped working in less than 5 minutes of using it. I could not believe it.

I think cleaning floors are disgusting so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this product! I use distilled water - as suggested by the manufacturer. I use it to clean our linoleum floor in the kitchen and bathroom and our tiled entryway. It says to first sweep the floor (which you would do before you mop in any case) so I quickly sweep the floor to get all the crumbs and stuff off the floor in the kitchen and I swiffer in the bathroom to get all the hair up. I use one pad per room, it takes about 15 minutes from start to finish and I can see that my floors are cleaner!! I love that there is no residue left on the floors and no chemicals to be allergic to either! I agree that the handle isn't super strong but you shouldn't be using "elbow grease" with this thing. I highly recommend it!

I mopped the floor with this product and didn't feel that it was picking up much. After I mopped, I wiped the same spots with a wet wipe and was amazed at how much dirt this mop missed. YUK! I'm taking it back ASAP!
