It doesn't loosen dirt like I thought it would, it was a waste of money, the steam is good, but it doesn't disolve the dirt for easy pick up. If you only have dust to mop up, it will do that, but not anything that is stuck on. my old mop did a better job. don't waste your money.

This product worked great for me !! I have 2 dogs that sometimes miss their potty patch and this steam mop works wonders on getting everything clean. I wanted something cheap, but would get the basic job done(IT cleaning the floor instead of me on my knees with a papertowel) and I got that with this mop. Some people are talking about it leaving spots of water or it being cheaply made (which I agree) but if you want something perfect you will have to pay more for it so go get one one of those expensive cleaners! For the money, this mop works well. The room smells clean and fresh after I use the shark (I add a little Lysol Orange Fresh to the hot water when I put it in the tank). The floors are a LITTLE wet after each use but they dry in a few minutes (again, you get what you pay for). It DOES lift stains out of deep cracks on the floor and the dirt in the grout of tile. And when I walk on the floor in white socks after cleaning my socks are totally clean so I know it works. After the first use the mop pad was disgusting (very dirty and full of dirt). But after a few uses of the shark mop I notice that when I look at the pad it's only a little dirty. That tells me the shark does the job and my floors only require a few minutes of maintanance.
Bottom line: like I said, you get what yo pay for so if you want a perfect machine spend the money (a lot of money). If you want something that gets tha basic job done cheaper.....buy this mop!!!

I had a chemical-cleaner-anxiety attack recently and purchased this mop as a remedy. I've used this only twice on my marble floors after vacuuming them first. The first time, I noticed that the floors stayed wet for a very long time. Maybe it's because marble is cold and the steam becomes condensation immediately, so I decided to keep it and try it later. The second time, my son had spilled some soda onto the floor, so after I completely wiped up the soda, I pulled this out to clean the stickiness off. HUGE MISTAKE. The steam turned to water, mixed with the sugar, and smeared the sugar mixture everywhere this mop went. I then unplugged this unit and dropped it into the garbage bin. This has been a total waste of money to me.

I see that a lot of people are comparing this to other high priced steam mops, which can leave people to feel disappointed and give poor reviews. I have had this steam mop for over 6 months and use it at least 2x a week. It has held up very well. It was really easy to put together. The extension cord is long enough for one room (about 13 by 12) I use it on my hardwood floors as well as my ceramic floors. The first time I used it I purposely swept and mopped right before I steamed mop. After I finished steam mopping I was thrilled and disgusted all at the same time. Like the product said the proof is in the pad and boy was it!! I noticed however the pad has to be a little more wet on wood floor in order for it to “glide” easier, I just give it a couple of more bursts of steam and I’m on my way. It doesn’t leave my floors soaked, in fact it dries in the matter of minutes. I highly recommend this product!!!

This was a shower gift. I used it on the floors in the house we are renting and it cleaned everything up. I could not believe how dirty the floors where. I love how it uses water to clean.

This is the sorriest excuse for a product. If Target's return policy was not so stupid I would take it back. This does not clean. The first time I used it the results were so-so. The second time I got it out IT DOES NOT STEAM! Smearing tap water on tile does not clean. It absolutely will not work at all. Nice. So glad I blew $100 on something that does not work. Thanks Target and be serious about your return policy. If you are not going to guarantee the products that you sell, I will not shop here any more. SERIOUSLY disappointed not just in the steamer but also TARGET.

I just purchased this mop yesterday, and so far so good. I wasn't totally blown away by it, but with 2 dogs, and messy boyfriend that NEVER cleans up after himself it cleaned my living room floor very well, no streaks, didn't take long to dry. I'm just a little nervous reading the other reviews, I hope it doesn't die in a few months.

I have never used a steam mop but the thought of not having to but chemicals down was a draw. This mop does not create enough steam to clean good enough. The pad comes out slightly dirty when done. This unit does not clean even lightly soiled grout.

I did use distilled water and pumped it plenty of times to prime it. Ended up returning it after 3 uses so I did not lose out on the $ spent. I may try a different brand.

This is a worthless piece of ....! I bought this thinking steam cleaning would be a great alternative to harsh chemicals and it does not work like you think. I vacuum my white tile floors, mop, and then have to revacuum the floor because this pushes the dirt around instead of sticking to the pad. Whatever steam does come out it is very little and only in a very small area. The pad does not get wet until you are almost done mopping the floor. It is very lightweight which equals to very flimsy. And forget trying to get corners or close to baseboards because it does not. I wish I could get my money back on this but I've had it for about 2 months and have used it twice. I guess I will stick to my old mop until they come out with something better.

I upgraded to this model and it stopped working within a month and 1/2. The smaller, cheaper model works better than this one.
Shark's customer service has a lot to be desired as well. To get fixed, I would have to send it to them, pay for shipping both ways and it would take 4-6 weeks to get back. That's as long as I have owned it and will cost me a 1/3 of what I paid for it.
It's a piece of junk, don't waste your money.
