Economical unit that does the job

This little item is just what you need if you have a good cassette deck (or record player) and have miles of cassette tapes to convert to CDs. This is the electronic innards of a dual deck ION produces. It has a feature not mentioned in the specs: Hook it into your stereo system and it "passes through" the signal from your tuner or other tape deck directly into your computer. It has two RCA input jacks in the back, UBS on the side for connecting to your computer and a volume control for the input signal. It's only 4½ x 4½ by about 1¾ high so it doesn't take up much space. It comes with two software programs: The very basic EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter for PC or Mac and Audacity for more control, which I prefer.
