I bought this for my one-year-old and am beyond disappointed. I, myself can't even push it! I am baffled that this toy has passed any sort of "field tests". The wheels turn stiffly and for the wheels to complete a full circle, it catches at the point where the character claps. Therefore, a small child does not have the strength to get the wheel past that point and it can jar the child. You truly have to push down hard to make the wheels complete a full turn. Awful toy, absolutely terrible! I tried it on hardwood and carpet, so flooring surface doesn't even matter, nor help. I strongly advise against wasting your money or your time with this item. I anticipate that the other variations of this push toy by Melissa & Doug would present the same challenges.
