We received our table today and the wood finish looks much nicer in person than it does in the photo. The color is a warm walnut with just a hint of redish tones. The picture shown here makes the table look like a yukky, flat brown paint, but the finish actually has a nice wood grain to it.

This thing weighs a ton - I'm surprised it was able to ship via UPS. It was well packaged and padded to avoid damage. The top, leaf and 4 feet came in one box and the pedestal base came in a separate box. And at this price, it's definitely a keeper: I got 20% off and free shipping - can't beat that!

It was easy to put together and all the pre-drilled holes lined up properly. It's much easier to put the top on the base if 2 people do it, but it is possible for one person with a large arm span to be able to do it. I couldn't do it by myself (not strong enough and not enough wing span!) If I was putting this together by myself, I would have had to put the top and base together a little differently than how the instructions stated to do it. There's a couple of hooks underneath the table top to hold the 2 sections together tightly.

The extra leaf needs to be stored separately - there's no place under the table top to store it.

We got the American Simplicity Oslo Chair (Set of 2) - Warm Walnut chairs to go with this and they match perfectly.

I can't comment on durability as we haven't really had a chance to use it, but will post an update after using it for a while.

I love this table! We have booth seating in our dining room so this table is perfect for us. As a mother of 4, I have to say that it's very kid-friendly. Super easy to clean! The assembly was simple too.

I love this table. It's HEAVY, the finish is very nice, all hardwood, no veneer, easy to assemble (but very heavy). There are small plastic leveling feet under the pedestal, which actually makes the table easier to move around a bit. I also have the matching Oslo chairs and am happy with them, too. GREAT furniture and you can get it all at a fantastic price.

I purchased this table 2 months ago and have used it daily in my kitchen. There are already scratches and chips in the varnish. I do like the strength of the table. It does not wobble even with the leaf in place.

I was pleasently pleased with this table. I have been looking for some time to find a table that matched chairs (microsuede tan parson with wood legs) I purchased from another retailer. They matched perfectly!!! This table was very affordable and with the free shipping and 15% off sale, it was practically a steal. Assembly was pretty straight forward except I had to use a rubber mallet to get the wooden dowels in the base. This table is very heavy and definately require two people to lift. This is my first furniture purchase from Target and the quality of this piece definately makes want to purchase more in the future.

My husband and I received our table in two big boxes [...] on Friday, had it put together that evening and was so impressed with the heaviness, the quality and the overall appearance of the table. We went out and purchased four upholestered parsons chairs from another "Worldly Market" and now we have a beautiful kitchen dining area that can easily sit six people. I would recommend this table to everyone.

This is an attractive table and it would be worth the money if it hadn't come broken, it was not well-packed. We needed it right then and were able to fix it. There are some small blemishes in the finish on the top but they don't show much and after we use it for a while it won't matter. It looks nice in our dining room. It's a shame that something this well-made was packed so poorly, it had obviously shifted around inside the box and that caused both the broken parts and the scars on top. The 3 stars are for the poor packaging, it would be 5 stars otherwise.
