Excellent Choice!! April 27, 2008 Reviewer:  mom of 3 (Concord NH)  See all my reviews >

I bought this seat for my 11mo. son who I wanted to keep rear facing for at least another year. This seat is an excellent choice because; price, harness rating (35lbs. rear facing, 65lbs. forward facing), tall harness slots (same height as Britax marathon/boulevard), impressive infant padding, wide & deep seat for comfort/support, easy install, user-friendly harness.
I have also put my 4.75y/o in this seat and she was comfortable with room to grow! I would recommend this seat to any parent!!

The Crotch strap is ADJUSTABLE! November 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Opinionated Mom (Atlanta, GA)  See all my reviews >

I have had this seat for almost a year. I was so excited for it that I purchased it before it was out and waited the month for it to ship. I've been reading some of the reviews and I had to defend my favorite carseat! The crotch strap that a lot of people are complaining about is adjustable, you push down and can slide it back and forth to accomodate your child easily. The straps DON'T twist is great and this was the ONLY carseat that holds up to 30lbs rearfacing that I can fit in my Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix. The Radian and Marathon were a joke--I couldn't have ANYONE is the passenger's seat if those seats were installed, but with the True Fit's removable headrest, I could actually put someone in the passenger's seat. Sweet. I highly recommend this seat.

First time mom loves this seat! November 21, 2008 Reviewer:  NCMom See all my reviews >

I have a graco snugride but i got tired of lifting it in and out of the car hitting my head sometimes! So i decided to look for a safe affordable seat that was under $200 and this was the winner! i am in a car seat group and everyone reccomended this seat to be the best and at the top of the list with the Britax! I love it, it was easy to install and my daughter looks very comfortable in it and she is 25" and 16lb at 5 months. So im very pleased with this seat and wont have to worry about another for years!

Mother of four loves this seat! May 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Fourth time Mom See all my reviews >

I got this carseat for my 1 y/o daughter, and it seems so big at first. Before I ever installed it, I sat her in it to measure the height and length of the belts(she fit perfectly), and adjusted them to fit her so when I installed it, it would be ready to go. Read the safety manual. It explains how to secure the seat appropriately, and it is easy to understand. I was very impressed with the cushioning and the lumbar support(she was very comfortable in it). I am confident it will keep my daughter safe. It is a rather large seat for rear facing with the headrest on it, but I have a minivan and it fits exactly right, I can't imagine it in a compact car with the headrest, unless it's forward facing(if you want your baby rear-facing longer-to 35 lbs you have to have the headrest on it after they reach 22lbs or their head is one inch from the top of seat without headrest). It would be helpful if it were available in stores so the consumer would see it's size and padding and all the cool safety features. The Monet is a very attractive pattern as well(it's soooo pretty), and it's washable. I recommend this seat for it's safety features, comfort, easy maintenance and weight limit(65lbs).

i love it!!!!! Very Very easy to install!!! February 1, 2009 Reviewer:  very happy mom!!!! "Brittany H" (Arlington heights, IL. USA)  See all my reviews >

This is a great carset, my son is 10 months old and weights about 24lbs. I looked at many many carseats, and finially picked this one. I love it!!! so easy to install. just fix the straps and lock it in and your done! i have a mazda 3 and it fit perfectly. i was very worried that it would be too big since my car is small. Right now i still have it backwords facing since hes only 24lbs and 10 months old. I would highly choose this one over a britax that costs 2x more. i hope this was helpful!!

Great Idea, needs improvements... July 1, 2008 Reviewer:  Green Acres Mom "Michelle K" (Taylorsville, KY)  See all my reviews >

I got this car seat thinking it would be perfect for my 9mo old who outgrew his infant carrier seat already. I have installed a few car seats in my day (at least five) and this one was horrible to install with the latch system. The directions are completely unclear, and when I called customer service for the company, the person spoke to me like I had never done this before, he started to explain what a latch was... HELLO, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT! So, after no help from customer service, I took off the bottom half of the car seat cover and re-threaded the latch straps to where they were supposed to go, they were twisted and going through the wrong holes, and just didn't make sense as they were originally laid out. So, after much sweating, I got it in. My son seems comfy in it, he sleeps no problem in the car and doesn't fight to get in it as much as he did for the infant carrier seat, so I guess it's OK. Needs improvement though, and manual re-write! Also, if you want it rear facing for a child over 22 lbs, you have to have the headrest on, so don't count on space saving for long! Basically, over priced and a very big headache to install, but it's OK.

Near perfect car seat June 2, 2008 Reviewer:  grammaoftwo (Cincinnati, OH, USA)  See all my reviews >

We purchased this seat for our grandson who is aproaching 4. I wanted someting that was easy to adjust the harness height w/o removing it from the car, because once our granddaughter is old enough to ride forward we will be taking her on out and about sometimes also. We'll need a booster for the grandson when he gets a bit older and if we need to take both kids in the meantime we can use my daughters car or take a carseat from theirs. Anyway, The crotch buckle is too close to the 4 yo crotch (and he is not large if anyting on the smaller size). One more slot would of been a great feature. And then a minor thing is the material attracts dog hair. My dog rides with me on ocassion w/o the grandson and she likes to climb in there and see out the window.

Great Seat! January 20, 2009 Reviewer:  One Happy Mommy "Ashley D" (Alabama)  See all my reviews >

We purchased this seat for our 11 month old even though she is nowhere near outgrowing her infant carrier. She has very chunky legs and the crotch buckle is on the 1st notch and fits her perfectly. I was skeptical about buying because of the reviews I had read about the crotch strap but it fits her chunky legs just perfectly and still has 2 more notches out to go.

The straps being too short was also another concern I had but when in Target I checked the strap length for the Britax vs the TF and they are just as long.

Several months back we purchased the Britax Boulevard and returned it because she HATE the seat she screamed and cried every single time we would go somewhere, we are always on the go and I couldn't stand seeing/hearing her be uncomfortable. When we put her in the TF she clapped and seems to be very happy in the seat.

As far as snapping on the seat cover, I did have questions about this but soon realized that you can buckle the seatbelt and THEN you snap the cover on and on the side of the seat itself there are holes where you can then lock off the locks. It really wasn't difficult to install at all. I am 100 times happier with the TF than Britax and the rating on this seat beats Britax as well.

VERY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL - POOR DIRECTIONS June 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Upset Customer "Chuck" (Charleston, USA)  See all my reviews >

This thing just plain sucks. The anchor straps are supposed to fit neatly into these shoddy locks except - they don't. If you want to get super upset installing something, buy this item! The directions show the anchor straps fitting in a way that is impossible - the straps are in an upside down Y. When you get them hooked on the anchors they pull off of the locks and don't fit well at all.

If I were looking I'd try another product.

Perfect Choice May 20, 2008 Reviewer:  Happy Dad "Eric" (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

The Design is great, The True Fit was very easy to install and I love the features. Great idea on the removable head rest and the bottom swivel base to level seat from front facing to rear facing. Other models make you remove the base entirely. (the removable headrest makes it great to fit in the back seat without having to move the front seat up. Also, it lays fine in a car but even with the bottom swivel base in the proper position I could not get level in SUV but I found a car seat leveler (a foam block) made by SafeFit and now it is fine.
