I bought this timer before my baby was born. I started using it to time my contractions when I went into labor, used it in the hospital to help the nurses keep track of baby's progress and now use it at home every day. I don't leave the house without it and it takes the guess work out of when the last feeding was and how long it's been since taking medicine. It's been a very helpful gadget that I use a lot more than I thought I would.

I use it more than anything I got for baby. I honestly never realized how quickly time can just slip by and just when you think it's been maybe 30 min since the last feeding, diaper change, etc, you look at the timer and it's been like an hour and a half! I don't leave home w/out it! I would recommend it to any new mom!!! I do think it's a little over priced. I would say maybe $14 would have been reasonable. But for what it does and how much use I get out of it, I guess it's priceless! :)

The only reason I give this product 4 rather than 5 stars is that, like other reviewers, I found that it tended to reset itself - even with new batteries. However, the product company has EXCELLENT customer service - I emailed them about the problem, and within one week I had a replacement; free of charge, no shipping costs (didn't even have to send them the defective one), and I got to choose my color (pink).
I love the L/R feature for breastfeeding, the backlight is great for nighttime, and the alarm beep is gentle.
The 4th button (*) is ingenious, as, having had a C-section, I needed to monitor my pain meds for the first two weeks.
Great product - wish I had had it for our first baby!

My husband and I love this timer. It is great for keeping track of breastfeedings...I just press the bottle button when I'm done feeding so I know how long its been since the last feeding. I also use the extra timer to keep track of how long I have fed on each side, so I can record the times in my feed log. It also tells my husband how long time has elapsed between feeding, so he doesn't have to constantly ask me or for when I'm not around.

Obviously the person who thinks only a moron would need this has never actually nursed a baby. When it's 3 am and you're running on very little sleep, it's very difficult to remember which side you nursed last or how long it's been since baby ate. This timer has been a very valuable tool in knowing how long it's been since baby ate or had her diaper changed. True, you could just write it down (which I did at first), but the timer is so much easier. All you need to do is push a button. There is also a "lock" switch on the side of the timer so you don't accidentally reset it. I would definitely recommend this product, whether you're nursing or giving the bottle.

We have received two different units from target online and both of them had a display that does not work. After sending back the second one, they said they will not send us another one. I really was excited about this item, but was extremely disappointed.

It was so hard to remember the times of feedings and diaper changes, especially the first few weeks. This is so awesome! I even use it to remember the last time I gave my son gas drops. Mine lasted 3 months on one set of batteries! It stopped working after that, so I called the customer service line and they sent a new one right away at no charge! I have not had any problems with the new one! Definately an item you want on your wishlist!!

I didn't know how important keeping track of these things were until I had my first baby a few months ago! Honestly, my husband jokes that this is my best friend. I cannot go more than a room away without this gadget! But he loves it just as much. It takes the guesswork out of figuring out what you baby may need or why she is crying b/c you just look at the timer and determine how long it has been since somthing has been done. I don't care what others say, taking out the guesswork leaves me more confident and relaxed that I know what I am doing and that makes caring for my new baby a much smoother ride for all parties involved! Even my mom loves this thing and she is anti-baby-gadget for everything else! LOL.
