I could not believe what a piece of junk this was. I purchased this on Saturday and spent 3 hours with a friend trying to put it together. Note - there are at list 30+ screws and cap bolts required and you can't use a power screwdriver to install because the wood is so cheap, thin and flimsy it will come apart. After 3 hours of trying to put it together, it was coming apart right and left. I wound up returning and wishing I had paid double at a furniture store for something to come assembled. It is really made with the lowest quality wood. It looks pretty on display but clearly is plywood with a nice stain. Buyer beware!!

The picture on the website AND on the box for this are wrong!! I repeat, picture on website and box are wrong!! The shelves show a large cubby hole that is big enough to fit DVD's. Even the picture on the website shows the cubby holes to be large, but once built they are so small you can't even fit your DVD's, pictures, or media equipment. This is a nice looking piece of furniture with a great finish, but the pictures are deceiving!

I looked around for a while for the perfect stand and I cannot believe I found it for this price. This looks so similar to one I saw in a catalog for $500 more. The quality is great. I will probably buy more from this collection.

We only bought this tv stand a few days ago, but so far, we are very pleased. It was simple enough to put together, and seems to be quite sturdy and well-made. The color of the wood is shown accurately. The top open shelves appear much larger in the picture, but still we were able to fit our cable box and dvd player in with extra room on the top and sides. The drawers also fit my boyfriend's game systems perfectly if anyone else might be interested in that. Overall, seems to be a great buy for the price!

This TV stand looks beautiful and is much higher quality than some other lines of furniture that Target carries. It's not a breeze to put together, but the finished product looks very nice in our living room. I'll second the comment that the picture depicts a much higher shelf opening than it is, but we had no problem fitting our dvd player and accessories that we wanted to put there in it. All in all, a great buy--I plan to buy from this line again.

My husband and I bought this TV stand for our new house. We also purchased two Avington bookshelves, one for each side of the TV stand, to make an "entertainment center" that houses all of our various media equipment and DVDs. The overall look is elegant, the price was affordable and we were thrilled at how sturdy the furniture was once assembled. We are very happy with our purchase.

wow, this avington tv stand is beautiful! for the money, unbeliable! i was looking for something just like this, but found some over $500-$600. I got this, it was on sale, [for much less]!!! picked up at store, got it home and took my time to put together, only 2 hrs. plus the drawers, which my husband did for me. Very easy to do!!! all were labeled perfectly, even the bags for the screws. very large drawers, looks so nice!!! i cant believe it!!!!! i highly
recommend, no one will belive the price!!!!

This tv stand is nice and easy to put together, BUT it is not as it appears in the picture. The area above the drawers is about half the size that it is in the picture. With my cable box on the shelf, there is maybe 2 inches above it. Disappointing, but it is worth taking apart and returning????

I bought this for my new house and LOVE it! It looks so classic. My friend did not believe me that I bought it at Target and I had to show her online. It was SO easy to put together and holds my old tube style tv easily. I plan on getting a flat screen but until then, this works just fine. I have just bought the coffee table but haven't received it yet. I love this whole collection and will continue to pick up the pieces for this collection as long as they are available. This is by far my favorite collection at Target.

For the price, and from past experience with "self-assembly" furniture from other retailers, I never expected the quality and sturdiness I've found with this unit! I also bought the bookcase and will buy more from this collection now that I know how well it's made! BTW... the product description says up to 42" - ours is 46" - we measured the width of the set and there's an inch+ on each side to spare - perfect fit ;)
