The item you buy in the store is NOT what is pictured or displayed as the floor model. The floor model is about 5 inches taller than what I purchased, brought home, assembled, and had to return. The shelves and drawers are much smaller than what we expected from the floor model, they're too small to hold much of anything. I am extremely upset because we measured the floor model before we bought the entertainment shelf, Don't be fooled by this beautiful picture!!!

We bought this stand today and it took alittle while to put together, but it was well worth it!!! This looks so much nicer than a typical black glass tv stand. It is classy and sleek, with drawer space to hide any unnecessary clutter. You can't beat this price for a 42" tv stand - :-) Thanks Target!!!

My husband and I were looking around for a long time for a smaller, dark brown TV stand...and this is perfect. It took both of us about an hour and a half to assemble...but it looks BEAUTIFUL. We also bought the matching end table and bookshelf. The completed room looks fantastic. Definitely worth it, and a great price for the finished result.

We love the looks of our tv stand; it is very classy with our plasma tv. We got the matching tall bookshelves to go on each side of the stand. It looks great. Also bought the matching coffee table and an end table. Our room looks so good now and we got it all on sale and with a 10% off coupon! Very sturdy and easy to put together. Only thing bad is it looks dusty often even with regular cleaning.

The piece pictured in-store as well as online is NOT the piece being sold! The shelf space of the actual unit is actually only about 5" high, not big enough to hold DVD cases as shown on the box and in other pictures. The fully constructed sample in stores shows the actual dimensions of the shelf space. Fortunately, I questioned and got to the bottom of this before going to the trouble of putting one together -- I have a receiver that is taller than the shelf space and would not have been happy to have wasted all that time hauling it home, opening the packaging, putting it together, taking it apart, taping the box back up, and returning it. I do agree with the comments about how well-built these pieces look, though.

I bought this stand, wanting a furniture look to the room vs. that OH! Nice TV Stand. This fit the bill. My entire room is more distinguished and I got it on sale. The pictures to put the stand together can be a bit tricky so take your time.
It is sturdy and lovely. Looking to buy the console table.

Just finished putting this stand together. Took me and a friend about 3 hrs to do, but we're kinda slow :-) Stand is beautiful and looks pricier than it is. I saw a similar looking one at [an upscale store] for $900. The only issue is that the cubby holes are not very deep so if you have several components, they will not all fit. I definitely recommend it!

The Avington TV stand is very very nice for the price; matches my bedroom furniture from [a department store] really well. Dark, rich brown wood and very solid. The shelf space is smaller than pictured. I noticed that the height listed on the Target website says the TV stand is 25 inches tall, but the piece is actually only 21" tall, which was disappointing. The box and flyer do state the correct height, but I shopped on line first. Although it took me a few hours to put it together (not counting the drawers) I have to say it was easier to put together than anything I have bought from [another retailer]. The instructions are easy to understand and everything is labeled, so no guessing which piece is which. Good job Target on the instructions and packaging!

I did not put this together myself. But it took my b/f over an hour to put it togther. Nice tv stand for the price. I would have preferred 3 shelves and one drawer. The drawers are deep enough to hold quite a bit of stuff (remotes, manuals etc), but I have a Digital Cable box that is about the size of a big dvd player and a tivo box. My small modem and router are sitting on top of my dig cable box. I don't have dvd player connected b/c I do't have anywhere to sit it. The picture may give one the impression that you can stack things on top of one another. Not really true unless your equipment is really thin. Nice quality and finish though. Minus the room for equip storage, I highly recommend.

After looking around [some upscale stores] for a tv stand, this stood out as not only the best value for the quality but also the best looking in person. It fits my 40 inch flat screen incredibly well and blends in nicely with other wood-stained furniture.
