My boyfriend and I put it together in around an hour. The color is great and it's real wood. It was missing a couple pegs but it didn't really effect anything. We have a 46" flat screen and it is a great size match. We also got the matching bookcase and coffee table which took around an hour to assemble both. The only thing I don't like is how tall the coffee table is. I would recommend this to anyone.

After searching through TV stands at other big name stores my boyfriend and I were estatic to see the price on the Avington stand. The color is a nice dark brown that goes with anything and it looks great in our living room with our 42" TV (and you could go bigger than that) we keep all of our DVDs and cords in the drawers underneath. The only con to the stand is that it chips very easily... we've managed to scratch and ding it will little effort. If you find a brown marker and fill it in it is not noticable.

I love this tv stand! I bought the coffee table a while back and when I saw the TV stand on sale I bought it right away. It fits great with my 42" TV and could probably accommodate a much larger one. It took me about an hour and a half to put together and was really easy! there are just a LOT of steps!! but it looks 10x better then some of the more expensive ones at other retailers! IDK what the person who said that it scratches easy is doing to their furniture but ive had no problems with this or the coffee table and ive had the coffee table for like 6 mos now! ANYWAY~ its wellllll worth it!

I got this for my tiny NYC studio and it is perfect. Very expensive looking and so much better than expensive furniture. I assembled the coffee table first (only took me about 20 minutes) so I was not mentally prepared for the assembly required for the TV stand. In totally it probably took me about an hour and a half. After questioning my assembly skills, my 220lbs boyfriend proceeded to sit/jump on the TV stand and it stayed together beautifully! Thanks, Target, for giving me flat box assembly street cred.

Target changed this item. The item pictured and in-store demo unit has larger shelves for equipment. Got it home, assembled it and realized that what is on the box isn't the actual item. Looking at other reviews, Target made a change to the side of this item and never updated the pictures or demo unit in the store. We measured the in-store demo unit carefully to make sure our surround sound receiver would fit - it doesn't!!!!

I was nervous to buy a TV stand for such a low price...but prices can be deceiving!

I love this stand! It looks great in my living room. I love the dark color and it's sturdy. It's a perfect size, not too big.

There are a lot of pieces to put together, but each is labeled...right down to the screws! It took me about 1 1/2 hour to finish it! Very easy! Just have a drink while putting it together...or two :)

You will be happy if you buy this item!

We bought this TV stand last evening and put it together before going to bed. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow. The finished product was really heavy duty and my 42 inch Widescreen DLP TV fit on it nicely. My DVR fits nicely on one half shelf and my DVD fits nicely on the other side. The two drawers are sturdy and very roomy. I am very pleased with my decision on buying this. I have had bad experiences with furniture that you put together because of cheap material and unclear instructions and things just not fitting together right. I am very impressed with this.

We bought this TV stand looking for affordable furniture that didn't look 'cheap,' and we love it! We bought it on sale...

It took my boyfriend and his brother about an hour and a half to put the TV stand and the bookshelf together. Two people are helpful because the pieces are heavy. It looks great.

The only reason I'm giving it only 4 stars is because looks ARE deceiving. The open space above the drawers is not as tall as we expected, so were a little disappointed that we couldn't fit a sound system console in there...

This was one of 5 pieces I bought from the Target line, however this one I bought from a second party who resells returned purchases. Even with that this piece came in great shape. I assembled all 5 pieces over the course of 4 days and each piece took about 3.5 hours to assemble all by myself but it would have gone faster with a second person. The cam lock system worked well in all of the furniture and makes it pretty sturdy. This piece is SUPER HEAVY! I can barely budge it all by myself. The color says "Dark Tobacco" but it is very similar to an espresso finish and matches the other pieces well. I changed out the knobs because they didn't seem contemporary enough for the piece, but no big deal. The drawers are spacious and can hold a good amount of DVDs (stacked with spines upward). I love this piece and it was worth the money and time, and it seems like it will last for a while.

We looked online before purchasing this piece in a target store. Both in the picture online and on the furniture box it showed the shelf being tall enough to fit dvd's upright. We wanted to make sure our amplifier box fit on the shelf. We brought it home and it took my husband about three hours to assemble. Afterwards, we realized the box would not fit on the shelf and neither would upright dvd's because the height was only 6 inches give or take. We had to end up taking the top off, putting the amplifier in and then putting the top back on because the lip was big enough to hold the amplifier underneath. We do not understand why the pictures of this piece are different from what the actual piece looks like. Other than that, it was a cheap and good buy and perfect for the room we are using it for.
