and then some. This TV stand is great. Very sturdy, beautiful finish, and easy to assemble. The drawers slide nicely and are large enough to store all our Wii accessories and games. I did have a drawer back that was split that I noticed when assembling. I called the number on the assembly instructions and they sent out a new piece no questions asked, and it arrived in about 3 business days. The openings for components is only @5" high and I had an issue with my Home Theater Receiver, but there is a 1.5" lip on the stand top. So I back out the 6 screw locks and removed the top. Fit perfectly and haven't had a problem with it EVER. Very solid piece, doesn't 'feel' flimsy at all when moving it around.

Even though this furniture is cheap it is VERY nice... It looks like we spent alot of money on the whole living room set. Its easy to put together and its soooo beautiful

So... I opened my Avington TV Stand box today and took all of the pieces out. All but one that is really important... THE DIRECTIONS that were not included in the box. I figured in the digital age... no problem, I will just go online and print them off; They aren't online though. I might as well burn this thing now, since there is NO WAY I will be able to package it back up the way it was and return it, and I can't get the direction. Thank you Target for selling me yet another piece of junk and frustrating the heck out of me on my sunday.

Overall, we are pleased with this stand. We purchased it at a local target store. No damage to unit as some have complained about. Fits the decor of our house nicely. Overall a good value.

Item went on sale at local stores 2 weeks after our purchase. Took receipts in and got the difference credited without difficulty.

First of all, I was pleased with the finished stand itself, but if I had it to do over, I would just buy one at a discount furniture store and avoid wasting 3 hours of my time (2 to assemble and 1 to clean up packaging). Like the other reviewers said, the instructions were 23 pages and included even screwing together ALL sections of the drawers. But the biggest dissapointment was the huge amount of packaging. I had to break up the 15+ large pieces of styrofoam and put in bags because I have no access to recycle styrofoam and if you leave it unbagged, the garbage truck crushes it and it ends up as millions of tiny pellets blowing all over the universe for eternity.

First of all, let me say that I have a few other pieces from this collection and am satisfied with all of them.

This tv stand appears to be good quality - if you can put it together. It says "some assembly required" and has 23 PAGES of instructions and a ton of pieces. When I started putting it together I realized that the holes on one of the pieces were drilled on the wrong side. I re-checked (and had 2 other people) check to make sure I was looking at it correctly. I was, and it was wrong!

After trying to put the stand together with the piece backwards I finally realized that it wasn't going to happen and had to put ALL of the pieces back in the box and take it back to the store. I will definitely not be buying any more furniture that requires assembly!!

This TV stand looks great. Looks like it cost more. However, it was difficult to assemble! It took about 21/2 hours to assemble. There were missing holes on one piece so my husband needed to drill them. Also it's much easier with 2 sets of hands!

Very hard to put together. Camlocks break - cheap pot metal. Parts don't fit - left drawer won't slide in, must sand or file it. Don't recommend if another similar product at similar price. Once it's all together and works, looks very nice.

I bought several pieces of the Avington collection and love them all. I was most excited about this tv stand, because of the large upper shelving spaces. However when I assembled, the shelves turned out to be about half the height of the sample photo. I haven't bought a receiver yet for my new tv, but I'm at a loss now as to where I'm going to fit it. I have my cable box/dvr on one side and a PS3 on the other. The remaining space (height) on either shelf is barely room enough for anything else to be added. I put the surge protector inside the lower left drawer which actually worked out REALLY well and makes the whole stand look clean without wires and cabling everywhere. Also, this tv stand supports a 50" flatscreen just fine, the width dementions are identical, it's flush, and looks great! Just need to figure out what to do about the surround sound receiver situation. Great tv stand, great collection all around. Just wish the photo was more accurate to what-you-see-is-what-you-get. It's misleading.
