This unit came well-packaged from the Wood Technology manufacturer, and was surprisingly simple to assemble. Holding a true 600 CDs on 10 equally-spaced rows, the assembled product is both attractive and very sturdy. By the way, the one fixed shelf is in the middle, but still allows for positioning the remaining shelves to accommodate the full complement of CDs. In the world of media storage, this is an example where you do get what you pay for; having previewed equivalent systems priced at half as much, this is definitely a significant improvement in durability and construction quality! My only complaint is they did not include fasteners to attach the back panels to the framework. Although finishing nails were referenced, I preferred instead to use small screws for a more secure fit. Excellent unit, highly-recommended!
